Profile: I have been collecting all styles of hardcore techno from early rave through to terrorcore for over ten years now (since 1994). I have quite a few rare doubles to trade so feel free to contact me if you have something in my wantslist.

I first got interested in UK hardcore in around 1993 after listening to illegal pirate radio stations such as Don FM, Dream FM and Flex FM. Went to some clubs in London such as at Bagleys, Labrynth, Adrenalin Village etc... but soon got disillusioned with the scene when the music split into jungle and happy hardcore. I got into the harder euro rave sound, hardcore techno and early gabber after listening to DJs like TRAFFIK, DSL, TORAH and SWITCH on ENERGY FM. From then on I visited harder techno and acid clubs and raves - DEATH ROW, HELTER SKELTER (Teknodrome), LIVE EVIL, RAMPANT, DISTURBANCE + more.

I've played at maybe 200+ illegal warehouse raves in and around London since 1997 on sound systems such as CROSSBONES, MAINLINE, MAYHEM, PAN!K, TECHNONOTICE, GABBAWOCKY, TRIBE OF MUNT, SECTION 63, STORM, TORMENT, DISRUPTIVE AUDIO, FUKNOSE, BUNCH OF KUNTS, SOKAID + many more and in Rotterdam for WAR system as well as legal club events like RAVE FRONTIER, DROP THE BOMB, NORDCORE (Hamburg), S-G-C (Frankfurt) and Saxony Speedcore (Dresden).

I have been going to hardcore raves all over Europe (Hellraiser, Thunderdome, A Nightmare In Rotterdam, Masters of Hardcore, Hellbound, Megarave + loads of smaller oldschool and terror parties) since 1997.

Reviews & Discussion:

Mackenzie, The - Brain Killer Jul 14, 2006 (edited over 3 years ago)
A seminal record that paved the way for the darker German doomcore sound made famous by PCP, Frankfurt. A heavy kick drum, off-beat hi-hats and a droning synth noise made this record much harder and darker than anything else released at that time. Quite rightly given a credit on the first Cold Rush Records release for influencing their tracks.
Freez-E-Style / Pilldriver - Protectors Of Bass Jun 26, 2006 (edited over 3 years ago)
Pitch-Hiker is actually a remix of an early Belgian techno track called Bass Drum & Hi-Hats by Wax on USA Import Music, the arrangement is almost exactly the same. This really should have been given a credit on the record.
