Music is my biggest passion in life and Discogs is without doubt the best tool.

The beginning:
I was introduced to trance and the german/swizz hardtrance with the Magik CD's by DJ Tiësto and other Black Hole Recordings mix-comps, the HardtranceMania CD-series by Frank Künne and the Goliath series on DJ Beat Records. And since that time my collection has just grown and grown and it still does. Almost out of my control at times.

At the moment:
Currently going through my record collection and adding missing releases and editing existing releases in the discogs database to make them as accurate as possible.

Vincent De Moor - Fly Away - 15-Oct-08 01:42 PM
At the time of the release of this tune i was very sceptical about two things. All these new remixes of Vincent De Moor's classic tunes, and Sean Tyas' assembly line productions.
So, here I was, ready to hear yet another classic destroyed by new producers. But Sean Tyas impressed me on this one. He transformed the original classic trance anthem "Fly Away" into a pulsating and energetic piece of music. The classic melody combined with fast tempo and a tight production makes this a perfect peak-time track for a set.

Armin van Buuren - Sunburn - 29-Sep-08 11:38 AM
This track wasn't really your average Armin van Buuren track when it was released. Believed by many to be a rejected remix of DJ Tiësto's tech-trance anthem "Flight 643", it sure didn't sound like anything Armin had done before. I can understand why, because the similarities are quite big. Take the breakdown for instance. Same monotone sound that builds up to the take-off. Other sounds in the track are also quite similar.

Other believe it was a track Armin did just for fun and that it was never supposed to be released. But who cares, really. Music is music, no matter how you look at it.

Danski & DJ Delmundo - Breakin' Records EP Vol. 2 - 27-Jan-08 06:36 AM
On this very record you will find Airscape's (aka Sven Maes and Johan Gielen) very best production. If you compare this remix with the original super-cheesy production by Danski & DJ Delmundo you wouldn't even think that it's a remix of Kiss.

First time I heard this remix was on Tiësto's "Live At Energy 2000" liveset. The tune caught my attention at once, with it's energetic and powerful build-up. When I looked at the tracklist, I thought it was a joke, I mean.. Vengaboys?

Anyway, this certainly is a monster-remix. If you haven't heard it, check it out!

Swimmer, The - Stand By / Django - 27-Jan-08 06:16 AM
"Stand By" is probably most known for it's presence on Tiësto's "Magik: Story Of The Fall" mix compilation. It's a fantastic and dreamy tune and it's deffinitly worth having.
But if you flip the vinyl to the b-side you get an ever better tune, in the writers humble opinion. "Django" was a very positive surprise when I got hold of the vinyl. It could very well be a production by Marino Stephano, cause it's jam-packed with emotions and pure lushyness. I find it very strange that it's not featured on any well-known mix compilations.

Vincent De Moor - Flowtation - 27-Jan-08 06:09 AM
Vincent De Moor has always been one of my top favourite producers when it comes to melodic trance. The only person that could match the brilliance of Vincent was Marino Stephano.

I first discovered the Flowtation track in the 2001 version on Armin van Buuren's "003: In Motion" mix compilation. It was the most beautiful track I've ever heard! I started to look for a sample of the original version on the internet, but it wasn't until a few years later I actually found it. At first I thought the original version was a bit weird, cause I was used to hear the 2001 version. But eventually I started to love the original more and more, and I even managed to find and purchase the limited yellow vinyl.

The b-sides are also deffinitly worth checking out, but Flowtation stands out. Absolutly one of the best tracks I've ever heard!
