Profile: Been a DJ and wax junkie since 1986... sad but true... Got a lot of wax in storage and would one day like to get rid of a lot of it. Don't know where to start so thats why I'm here cataloging bits and pieces for:
(1) future sales
(2) insurance purposes
(3) to better the discog community
If u have any questions about my collection like "would you part with blah" - quick answer is yes BUT only for a lot of money and I mean like in the thousands (UPDATE: prefer GBP now and not US dollars) for some records. I have a daughter to send thru school so its TOP $$ transactions only. Also I don't do MP3's so don't bother asking me to send you something from my collection as an MP3 - if you want the track buy the wax off me.

em:t - 02-Oct-07 07:11 PM
I really don't know what made me get into this label - it was a combination of the great artwork of the releases and most (if not all) the tracks on the first Em:t CD i heard (0094). Stand out artists for me were Coco Steel and Lovebomb, International Peoples Gang and Woob.
I remember using the Em:t Cds as intros or fillers in between mixes and sometimes would have the CD going while mixing in between 2 techno records. After a while I started just listening to them - they were always good to listen to when the mood for relaxing and non-banging music was needed.
Black Dog, The - Virtual - 01-Oct-07 06:35 PM
A legendary release from the Black Dog - I cained "Virtual" for years. The track was a ten minute journey with big build ups and futuristic ambient interludes - and then when that syncopated kicks comes in, the track just keeps frantically building and building. There has not been many tracks since that has come close to "Virtual". It was Techno, Breaks and Ambience all thrown into the mix and has to go down as one of the precursors to that english big beat/breaks sound.
Steve "Silk" Hurley - Jack Your Body - 14-Mar-07 01:01 AM
I remember hearing it at my local record store and it blew me away.. It was a simple track but the "Jack, Jack, Jack your Body" sample killed it.. I later saw it on a video my cousin sent me from London.. had a Top of the Pops episode on the tape where Jack your Body was No.1 on the UK charts..I think it stayed there for like 8 weeks which back then was unheard of for an underground track to stay at No. 1 for so so long
