Blue - 18-Sep-02 10:00 AM
The Cologne-based Label Blue was run by Cem Oral (Jammin' Unit) and Ingmar Koch (Dr.Walker). Walker has run other labels like DJungle Fever, Mono Tone, XXC3, Electro Bunker and Syncom Productionz. He is part of Pierrot Premier and Air Liquide. Jammin' Unit is the Head of Pharma Records.
Blue is a mixture of Intelligent, Ambient, Electronic Chill Out, Electro-Techno, Trance, Acid, House and other styles.
On Blue, you can find releases of Air Liquide (Walker with Jammin' Unit), The Bionaut (Jörg Burger), H.E.A.D. (Khan (Can Oral), Kerosene(Roger Cobernus)), Pierrot Premier (Walker with Thomas "Fab" Thorn), M.F.A., G.E.F. (German Electronic Foundation), Electronic Dub (Caspar Pound, Walker, Laurence Elliot Potter, Jammin' Unit, Air Liquide). The German Electronic Foundation is Khan, The Bionaut, Jammin' Unit and Dr. Walker.
Releases come with 50 - 1000 Copies, one release is told to have only 4 copies. You can find standard media types like CDs, 2x12", 12" + 7", but many of the vinyls are clear and coloured.
BLUE 014 was a collaboration between Blue and Rising High. Some of the releases were licensed to the Harvest label. Distribution by Formic.
There is a label called Blue2, that started in 2001.
New Transatlantic (NTA) - 15-Sep-02 06:59 PM
Some write NEW TRANCE ATLANTIC, others write New Transatlantic, some just use three letters NTA. The Cologne based Label was coupled with the Delirium Recordstore, which was renamed in 1998 in Kompakt. New Trance Atlantic had 16 12"-releases between 1993 and 1998. All these releases are sold out. nta 004 - mike ink - apolojive, is sometimes refered as nta 003 and seems to be unpublished.
The styles of New Trance Atlantic vary from Minimal Techno, Acid, Deep Techno, Tech-House. The quality of the music is very high. Behind the names of the Acts, you can find famous heads of Cologne-Styles like Joerg Burger, Reinhard Voigt and Michael Mayer. Between those names there are two interesting releases of newcomer Michael Drescher, publishing as Maikl.
