Exposure (2) - Magic Impuls - 10-May-07 08:35 AM
M.I.K.E. was on fire during 2002 and put out a number of great releases, this being one of my favourites. It has a darker feeling to it than say "Strange World" but still has an uplifting edge with the big M.I.K.E. synths. The remix on the other side is great with Jacob & Mendez taking a slightly deeper progressive trance take but still retaining the original elements. Overall a great tune!

Planet Perfecto Feat. Grace - Not Over Yet 99 - 09-May-07 05:12 AM
An update of the Grace classic from a few years earlier, this was hammered by Paul Oakenfold during his 1999 Essential Mix world tour. Matt Darey gives a good uplifting mix but the highlight is the Breeder remix. A great driving tune in that deep pumping Breeder style. The cheeky remix name is a bonus!

Faithless - Forever Faithless - The Greatest Hits - 09-May-07 04:55 AM
This limited edition had some of the longer mixes of classic tracks like "Insomnia" and "Salva Mea" compared to the standard release. A great way to get into Faithless and a good addition to DJ sets at the same time if you don't have some of these tunes.

Various - Godskitchen Australia - 09-May-07 01:36 AM
Disc 2 of this release is just a repackaging of Anjuna Beats vol 4 so it can be ignored. Disc 1 is where it's at for 2 reasons: firstly it is a great mix with a nice variety of tunes. From the deeper progressive style of Thomas Penton, to the uplifting trance of Signum and Arksun and the more tech-trance styles of Sander van Doorn Steve Strangis does a great job of combining some of the hits of the moment and gives us a great mix. Secondly it's not ever day that a young local talent from Melbourne gets his name on a nation-wide release under the Godskitchen brand! This is a great opportunity to support the local scene and get your hands on some great music at the same time.

Armin van Buuren - 76 Album Sampler - 09-May-07 01:36 AM
This is the first sampler from Armin van Buuren's first artist album and it has some good tunes to start off. "Prodemium" and "Precious" are nice good tunes with some nice strings. "Song For The Ocean" is a nice driving number in similar style to "Sunburn" with a nice chanting style female vocal. "Burned With Desire" is a nice chill-style tune but the typical trance style vocals let it down a bit. Overall a good start to the album.
