Underground Repairs (2) - Stay In The Life - 05-Apr-09 02:25 PM
In 1992, Marshall Jefferson produced, what I think is, his most melancholic, deep track! Very underrated back then and still little known today, this instrumental isnt far away from Virgos holy grail "Free Yoursef", added to this, the jazzy touch of mister Roy Davis brings class. Yes it is 1992, House is banging all over the world but M. Jefferson brought back the soul and the spirit into a musical masterpiece. This just takes you to another level!

Oto Gelb - Magical Yellow Sound From Germania - 02-Mar-09 08:38 AM
Dancefloor Disco Bomb Alert!! I first heard the "He Dances All Night" track during 2007, played by the dutch mixmaster DJ Loud-E. Even though it sounded a bit familiar,I thought, this must be a pretty unknown track from back in the days, perhaps a very pricey record or something mega obscure... its in fact an edit of "My Roomate" by Village People! The original track appears on the 1978 LP "Cruisin" a very common LP by one of the most commercial disco band ever. Perfect editing job from the man Wang, this tune will make everybody loving disco again!!!

Truth (11) - EP - 23-Sep-08 08:09 PM
Mark Goddard...? would be nice to know if this man did ever release other materials at all. This very mysterious "Detroit" sounding EP seems to be one of Laurent Garniers favourite oldskool secret weapon. In 2006, He played the track "The Start" during one of his "It Is What It Is" radio shows, mentionning the name & the fact that he had no idea who did the music, but insuring he had the record for more than 10 years. No need to say its dope!

Preska - Let's Get Real - 28-Feb-08 01:15 PM
Back in 1990, mister Morales was the king of deepness alongside people like Roger S. for instance.... Nowadays, they both play & produce awful music, but hey, who cares? ..The music will be here forever. From all of Daves remixes (and he has done hundreds, thousands I should say!) , The "Red Zone Mix" on here is one of his most underrated and, for me, his best ever ! Simply beautiful spine chillin deep house.... A masterpiece.

Braxton Holmes - 12 Inches Of Pleasure - 15-Jan-08 08:09 PM
With this 4 tracker, you have here whats probably some of the finest instrumental deep house ever created. A1 "Rons Foreplay" is the better known track out of this EP (the most played out, and recently compiled by the french man with fine taste, DJ Deep). The track is just perfection and will be loved by both techno and house lover..Its got that little moody "Detroit" touch..Ron Trent at its best!
A2 "Braxtons Foreplay" is a variation on the same theme, similar & different at the same time, a bit more beaty. B side is as lovely, 2 more instrumentals that complete what can well be the best value EP from 1992.
The only negative point on this Clubhouse release is the pressing, but here again no surprise, its Chicago ...
Nethertheless, this is 12 inches of audio pleasure for sure !
