Reviews & Discussion:

Bersarin Quartett is easily one of the most underestimated ambient albums of 2008. The idea behind the music is not new (music for imaginary movies), but the elaboration is simply superb. Ranging from implicit ambient strings and spine chilling atmospheres to explicit references to violins and classical music, Bersarin Quartett simply has it all in the highest quality level.

This album is therefore a real treat for fans of Kangding Ray, Tipper, The Kilimanjaro Darkjazz Ensemble, 1 Mile North, Biosphere, Murcof, The Cinematic Orchestra and Marsen Jules. Strongly, strongly adviced!
Matrix - Sleepwalk Jul 09, 2006 (edited over 3 years ago)
I love Sleepwalk for its top-notch production and the distinct sound that Matrix gave to all the tracks. The album has been in my bag at the moments that I went out to studio headphones and monitor speakers. It's almost bizarre to hear how skillfully Matrix placed all sounds, frequencies and effects, giving them both individual room as well as providing one coherent piece of music.

On a more musical side, Apache and Temperament are just pure killer tracks that feel like they're trying to hide away layers of infinite anger and darkness. On other moments, the jazz during Gap The Mind and downbeat during Angel give this album the extra's to keep it very interesting for long listening sessions. Very much adviced.
Backini - Re: Creation Jul 07, 2006 (edited over 3 years ago)
I'm amazed that so little attention has been given to this album. Backini truelly masters the ability to combine creative sampling with composing wonderful music and keeping the listener interested throughout the entire album. Fans of RJD2, DJ Shadow and Fingathing should definately give Re:Creation a chance. Nothing is certain, but I don't think it would disappoint you.
Sasha - Airdrawndagger May 03, 2004
Quite an impressive combination of progressive, Hybrid-alike breaks (with the same crystalclear production and transparancy), ambient and house. Especially in my prejudiced state of mind where Sasha was a trance dj, Airdrawndagger proved to be an essential piece of modern elektronics that kindly feeds the hungry mouths that normally are directed towards Hybrid, Chicane and similar high-q producers.
Probably one of the most dynamic, aggressive and energetic drum 'n bass releases I've heard. Typical Pendulum sound with evertwisting melodies and rhythms. Very nice to spicen up any event where this record is played; funerals will never be the same again.
