Various - Multimix Remix Service EP - 18-Apr-08 08:17 PM
Not sure if this or the original release was responsible, but 2 Body's Body Drill became a huge track in underground New York City clubs of the early 90s. It was particularly big with the crowd at Junior Vasquez's Sound Factory, and may as well have been made for the club's system: pounding bass drum, clattering snares, booming synth, squelchy 303 and a killer key change. A sample (or maybe a replay) of a loop from Body Drill underpins Danny Tenaglia's track Bottom Heavy.
Luna Project - 20-Dec-07 01:05 PM
I Wanna Be Free is a classic New York house track and was worked heavily by Junior Vasquez at Sound Factory. It's also a staple at David Mancuso's Loft parties. Since people now seem to be charging insane amounts of money for the vinyl releases, it is worth noting that the track's producer, Troy Parrish, has re-released both the Higher Mix and the Original Factory Mix (by far the best mixes) in digital format, they can be found on major download sites such as Beatport, Stompy, etc.
House Of Fire - EP - 17-Jan-07 02:49 AM
"Show Me" was a big Sound Factory track, played on a weekly basis for a while by Junior Vasquez late 91/early 92. As a result, it also appears on the first Declaration of Independents collection credited to Lisa Angel.
