Militant Science - 12-Sep-09 01:29 AM
Militant Science is a forward thinking label in more ways than one. The music is really good fast electro, which is one of the freshest things out there right now and will probably continue to be for some time. It's also proudly and effectively a new model label: digital, releasing mostly split singles, with neat and tidy uniform covers, available in limited underground online stores. Obviously not in it for the money, these guys are truly underground and really love their music: it isn't about ego and being big jerkoffs like some labels and artists that release similar music. This is the future sound and attitude of electronic music that's going to survive and rise to the top. We are ready for Militant Science.

Rephlex - 15-Nov-07 04:58 PM
Rephlex is one of the best, or maybe even THE best label for interesting, alternative underground electronic music.

Rephlex, however, seems smaller and less active now in their later years. Aside from the rather annoying "Tuss Fuss," and a few stellar new releases like Ceephax volumes I and II, Rephlex doesn't seem to do much anymore.

Meanwhile, a new wave of superb Braindance/IDM music has come along, the quality of which often exceeds the Rephlex releases. But Rephlex seems to be unaware of these artists. This makes me think that the future of Braindance music is with newer more active labels that recognize and sign these top artists, like Napalm Enema Records. Or maybe Rephlex will one day pick up the pace again!
