Reviews & Discussion:

This vinyl is all about the Henrik Schwarz mix. His best remix ever... beautiful treatment of strings and melodic arrangement. His trademark is well witnessed on this 9' 20'' of pure aural voyage. His style is unique. House not house could be a new category for his productions, but they are too good to be pigeonholed. Get it now because this is a FUTURE CLASSIC.
OHHHHHHHH! This is a classy and stylish dancefloor soulful scorcher that will turn girls crazy (and possibly boys too). Why? Because Fred Falke tick the right boxes. An easy and catchy bass riff, a sweet and childish melody and the groovy french filtering that is sooo mid 90s. And it has vocals, something that the female humans NEED in order to dance. When you listen to the Falke re-invention of the original, you will not bother with the A-side. Money well invested and surely a classic in future times
Prosumer and Murat have been making some noise for some time now. I remember the Cassy version of 'Turn Around'. Magnifique. Prosumer & co. know well how to make soulful minimal-cum-deep house. They really do. Listen to their album and you will soon see, something new is happening in Deutschland. If you have the decency of purchasing this 12"... I assure you, you will play it over and over, especially the A side. Soundstream remix of 'Serenity' is a cross of sensual pop and cold deep house, reminiscent of the best moments of Gus Gus, although here on a 4/4 structure. It may sound harsh, but Soundstream mix really takes the gold here. The original is slower, more poppy and melancholic. Good though. However, this 12" is not all about Soundstream mix. Check the vocal version of 'Believe': pure deep house bliss with a serious bassline, maybe a bit twisted but house anyway. Not easy for the purists or the square minded, but a gem that will be given its value in future times. More of this, please!!
Mediocre compilation of remixes made for dZihan & kamien released in a time when any cut & paste and ordinary layers of sounds were at its peak. That time was when everybody and every label was releasing some kind of uber-depressive compilation with the name 'chill-out' on the cover.

Anyway... back to this album. I only purchased it for the Herbert mix which is, as usual, superb although not the best of his creations.

Avoid if you are not a collector.
This is a Quentin Harris remix of timeless deep house anthem "Do It Now". Mr. Harris, basically revives the track to its glorious form respecting the powerful bass line and infectious groove plus adding some dubs and effects on top. However, he still keeps the elegant male vocals as in the original.

It is possibly, the piano line and the dubbed vocals in the background that builds and builds, what makes this track not boring and a perfect hit for discerning dance floors.

Harris knows what is real house music and pays homage to one of the most beautiful tunes of all times. Superb.

The only reason why this is worth its purchase is the Radio Slave mix. The rest is pretty average. Nothing you will remember for a long time. However, the Radio Slave mix is a deep trip to the darkness of minimal house techno call-it-what-you-want.

He preserves the good vocal bits and let the groove and bass line take you as far as you want. It clocks a good 8 minutes and a half.
It is strange to have such a mix in this cd single. I never understood what was Radio Slave remixing this song, but there you go.
