Since upgrade to V4 on March 10th, this database is falling apart. The database is neither consistent nor reliable anymore.

Please observe, that I at present take no responsibility for any submission in my name. I have given my submissions a great deal of work, and I will be happy to discuss any mistakes done by me or any proposed improvements, but changes going live immediately makes it impossible for me to keep up.

Bong-Ra - Old-Skool Armageddon - 24-Jun-06 04:31 AM
the a-side features a dance-y synth harmony line as well as
cooing female vocal samples. the beats are some of his most
straighforward, but they totally fit with the uptempo, rave-ish feel of the
track.
the b-side has more adventurous drum programming, and also has a much more laidback
feel due to the slower tempo, dubbier bassline, and the ragga vocal samples, which
feature a nice harmony bit that reminds me of those old lifesaver commercials.
all in all a killer 7".

Bong-Ra - Riddim Wars - 15-Oct-05 09:32 PM
This record has some killer beats! The first track has synth lines that make it the more dancefloor friendly of the cuts, and features pitch-shifting snares and some (not unexpected) ragga vocals. The second track stands out the most, as it is a moody reworking of 'Super Sharp Shooter' by Ganja Kru, with delays on the vocals and beats from beyond. Classikc.

Drumcorps - Rmx Or Die - 14-Oct-05 12:20 AM
An amazing record. Heavy brakecore with some screaming and metal guitar samples....and some great snare sounds. Don't pass this one up.

Also, the track 'Human Shields' is a reworking of the track 'Happy Worker Bees' by the american hardcore punk group Botch.

Nine Inch Nails - Solid Gold Hell - 09-Oct-05 07:48 AM
This cd is generally considered to be one of the worst NIN bootlegs out there.... a waste of money. Just look at the tracklisting; it repeats a number of songs. And the quality is poor even for a live bootleg. This disc is only for the completeist or someone obsessed with the pupative early dance-dustrial days of NIN. (Check out the awful Queen cover! Twice! I wonder why they don't play that one anymore?)

Autechre - We R Are Why - 06-May-05 01:47 PM
If you like mid 90's Autechre, you'll surely enjoy this.
Somewhat reminescent of Tri Repetae (which came out the same year)in style and sound, but definitely a unique work on it's own. Too bad it's hasn't been re-pressed, as it was available only by direct mail order. Oh, well.

If possible, download the versions of this song recorded at
33 1/3 rpm. They really give you a different feel for the tracks.
