Horrorist, The - Body To Body - 05-Jan-06 05:31 AM
Oliver Chesler, The Horrorist remakes the 1980's Front 242 and Bigod 20 EBM vocals "Body to Body" into a modern dancefloor monster. Very strong synth and effect heavy track. DJ Stamba adds a very DJ friendly remix. The B-side also a really twisted electro-ish song called "Es ist Alles Aus" which I translated to mean "It's all Over" and it has insane German vocals on it.

Jeanette Thomas - Shake Your Body - 19-Mar-05 08:44 PM
This is one of the best late 80s dance classics out there! It's a simple but wonderfull track. It has Roland TR-707 drums and a DX7 bassline that slowly opens up over the entire song. Simple vocals saying "Shake Your Body"... then they stutter then you hear some sexy noises. They used to play this 10 times a night at the Tunnel (New York) in 1987. It's less known than the Todd Terry or say Rave's "Break for Love" but just as great.

Beltram* - Energy Flash - 17-Mar-05 01:41 AM
One funny side note about this record. People used to argue if this was the 1st song to say "ecstacy" in it. Its a great song with a low filtered flowing bassline that seems like its pitchbended in the sequence. Also has a great TR-909 hihats that are slightly distorted so they blend (a trick alot of early plus 8 records use too). Another piece of trivia about Beltram: He owns a Waldorf Wave synthesizer which is about $10,000. Look up a photo of the Waldorf Wave online and you will be amazed at how cool it looks!

Disintegrator - Target Terminated - 13-Mar-05 07:35 AM
This label was from Marc Acadipane and Thorsten Lambert. They bootleged this Industrial Strength release because Lenny Dee didnt pay them royalties on Mesculinium United. This release and the clone release on IS from Disintegrator is one of the most classic techno records. Both Selway and Oliver Chesler are big techno acts.

Underground Resistance - Punisher - 13-Mar-05 03:27 AM
This is in my mind the best Jeff Milss record. It has a loud synth and great classic UR 909 techno drums with 16th note hihats. This is a loud record. When UR played the Limelight in NYC for the 1st time they came on stage all dressed in black with black facemasks and asked the crowd if anyone was from Detroit. When no one cheered they yelled out "This is your punishment!" and blasted this song. The place exploded. 5 stars!
