Floor Federation, The* - Music For The Masses (Part I) - 09-Jun-08 02:13 PM
The Original Track of this is by far the best. Brings a tear to my eye as soon as the Opening Piano line drops. Takes me back a few yrs to an Timeless club night in Manchester when DJ Cano dropped this for me as his last tune of his Set, was surrounded by so many friendly faces, the feeling was undescribeable, a moment in my life i wont forget.

This track is a very well put together using the Piano line from an earlier Belgium track called Deck 8-9 - When I Dream. But i feel that this track is better arranged, the beat is a lovely bouncy rushing feeling with a drum pattern that you just cant help but dance to. And with the Piano Line ontop you have the perfect record.

5/5 for me, the Original didnt need touching.

DJ Seduction - So In Love / Can U Feel It (Remix) - 09-Jun-08 01:59 PM
So In Love (Happy Stomp Mix) is the difinitive Old Skool track for me, I remeber when my older sister got her 1st old skool tape 'DJ Dynamix @ Dance Paradise 1994' and this was 2nd track into it, i was 7yrs old and i new from then that id never grow up listening to mainstream music, infact 17yrs on and im into my old skool more than ever,

I have grown into all sorts of Old Skool music from Ambient to Italodance to Old Skool Hardcore. Just from branching out from this one song.

I owe so much to this one song its untrue. DJ Seduction is one of the best Breakbeat Hardcore DJ's to have ever graced this planet.

A top top tune indeed.

2 Boasters, A Digestive & A Jammy Dodger - The Accelerators Stuck - 09-Jun-08 01:33 PM
What a Dark & Erie tune 'The Accelerator Stuck' is. Absolutely love the way this tune starts, with a sound so scary, erie & dark. Then the beat & snares just whip you into a mad dancing frenzy,

I've always enjoyed the slower side of Hardcore but with this tune i find that the faster you play this the better it sounds.

I always have a laugh to myself when i put these tunes onto my decks as the naming of all the tracks are quite commical. But don't be fooled these tunes are not to be laughed at.

A massive EP for all the DarkCore Lovers. Awesome.

Various - FOUReM - Original Dance - 22-May-08 08:51 AM
What a Tune 'Global Effect - Undercover' is. This is why I love Dance music so much, I Live for tunes like this. Fantastic Bassline, Piano Riff & Strings.

Brilliant vocal with the words 'I Give You Shelter'. Best bit about this song is where the tune goes quiet halfway through with just the Bassline then all of a sudden Multipule Piano Riff's come out of nowhere & the Beat just keeps hitting you, to give such an uplifting feeling. Makes the hairs stand on end!!

This tune comes into the Slower side of Hardcore being around the 135BPM mark. This would also fit into a slightly fast House set, so its very Versatile.

I wish more Hardcore was made like this back in the day, at a slightly slower speed as it retains the Hardcore essence without your ear drums being blown out at too fast a-pace.

The Guys at Blockhouse made some fantastic tracks druing the 92' period, it being such an underated Label.

The other 3 tracks on this EP are good but nothing comes close to 'Global Effect' this is the tune to go for on this stunning EP.

5/5

Mental Cube - Q - 26-Apr-08 10:21 AM
Yes Sir, The only release known to let out the Original Mix with an Extended Version Ending. As far as im aware the other two releases known, Which have the Original Version of "Q" always fade out when the beat kicks back in around 4.50 mins to end the song, Pitched at "0" on the turntable.

But in this version you get it all and more, When 4.50 mins hits it all carries on. Then you just get the rolling sub bass with the wigged out drums which flow for 12 bars, Then the Atmospheric, Futuristic chords float back in. You don't hear this arrangement anywhere else in the track, Thats what makes it so good. Then it all kicks back in again for a 3rd time to then Fade out for a better ending.

In my opinion its worth all the extra money compaired to the other two releases for those extra 2 mins.

"Q" is one of the best songs FSOL ever made. Its amazing to see how Brian Dougans & Garry Cobain brought both of their amazing minds together to make such a Beautiful, Powerful & Enjoyable Techno Track.

This ill take to my grave!

6 Out of 5.
