Profile: Yea, I'm into this and that, and, uh, that too, and, uh, blah, blah, blah, me, me, me.
Does anyone really care about what I think?
I didn't think so.
I will make you a copy of a hard-to-get item that I might have.
But only if it is truly rare/unavailable.
I'm not in the business of stepping on toes. If it's easy to find for sale, don't waste my time asking for a copy.
I occasionally receive requests for a copy of an obscure 45 rpm record I may have posted.
I have a life and I have better things to do than to digitize a copy of an obscure single to satisfy someone's curiosity, which I have done quite a few times. Some people don't even bother to say "Thank You". How cool.
So, if you just have to have a copy of this for example, but you don't want to actually buy it from me, a donation would help to get it copied and mailed to you.
I will probably sell many things in my collection, but not everything, if the price is right. If you see something you can't live without, make me an offer.
I don't like Discogs v4. Lots of abuse going on here.

Unknown Artist - Jailhouse Rock Radio Announcements - 11-Oct-09 02:19 PM
This is an interesting disc containing radio spots done in the typical fashion of the 1950's. It has an announcer talking to someone about Elvis' new movie, Jailhouse Rock, and then provides clips of Elvis songs sung by a studio chorus. The voices have the Elvis style of singing but would never be confused with the real thing. The announcer also mentions that the movie is presented in "CinemaScope".
While seeming a bit hokey and definitely dated, it provides a look back at advertising 1950's style.
Armageddon (6) - Armageddon - 09-May-06 05:39 AM
In the era of the mid seventies this is probably one of the greatest, yet underrated rock bands of them all. Back then I always, and I mean always, looked past commercial radio for something more obscure, extremely hard rockin, underground. I found it in Armageddon. Keith Relf is Armageddon. His vocals are otherworldly. Martin Pugh's guitar work is in a word, unique. I've never heard anything like it before. Words like sizzle, razor sharp etc. don't begin to describe it. Louis Cennamo on bass fits perfect. Bobby Caldwell on drums sounds like a machine. Unbelieveable. I feel this album will also appeal to the younger motorheads who weren't even around in 1975. The original liner notes describe it as "highly sophisticated, tangibly moody and breathlessly intense." It is every bit of that. I wore out my first copy and picked up a another one in 1978. It is an ornament that will remain sealed. I then procured a white label promo and played that one almost to death. This release stands alone as my all time favorite Rock album. This Import CD does not contain the original liner notes, although it does give a good but brief bio of the group inside. And where the original L.P. had the lyrics printed on the inner sleeve the CD doesn't contain them. This album should be played LOUD.
Tor Lundvall - Empty City - 12-Apr-06 06:34 AM
Tor Lundvall’s latest release “Empty City” has clearly reached an even higher plane than his previous works. Just 45 seconds into this record and I knew it was special. The description “Ghost Ambient” is an appropriate description. The music is flowing, soothing yet interesting. This is a composition that expands the boundaries of ambient music when it would seem that such limits have already been reached. Only a truly creative mind can accomplish such a feat.
“Empty City” is a perfect medium to relax and meditate to; a marvelous and engaging sound that firmly holds one’s interest. While it is most definitely ambient in nature, there’s a complex character throughout that is hard to describe. This disc can be played over and over while maintaining a secure embrace on the listeners senses. An undeniably exotic, superb listen.
The production is spectacular, flawless, professional. Tor Lundvall and Strange Fortune deserve high praise and congratulations on this incredible work.
Tor Lundvall - Last Light - 23-Oct-05 12:24 PM
An essential release from Tor Lundvall. It's definitely dark ambient but not the grinding, evil sounding type. More like an otherworldly experience. Think of a wonderful dream you had and would like to re-visit.
I normally don't enjoy vocal additions to this type of sound but they have been added here in a tasteful way that lifts the entire work to a much higher plane. The production is impeccable. The sounds are simple yet extremely deep. A perfect soundtrack to an eclectic movie.
When a lot of dark ambient creations start sounding similar, this work by Tor Lundvall comes off entirely fresh. Of course I will be looking at this artist's other work. An absolutely essential release by Tor Lundval.
Nordvargr* - Awaken - 23-Oct-05 12:24 PM
Looking at the cover, which depicts a pile of skulls, one might think it is a low budget noise CD. However it goes much deeper than that.
It has a very dark ambient industrial spirit along with droning noises and a machinery kind of sound, not unlike the Eraserhead soundtrack. At one point there are some female screaming sounds in the background, and then toward the end some sort of chanting that really creates a creepy sort of industrial clamor.
At a little over 54 minutes long I will spin it while on my computer and let it go two or three times before I change it. I know it's been said before but this album would truly compliment a modern day horror movie.
Henrik N. Björkk is definitely for people looking to move beyond the more "mainstream" Dark Ambient. I will continue to do searches for this artist and feel totally confident in recommending this album to fans of (ultra) Dark Ambient.
