Meander - Dreaming In Reverse - 28-Aug-08 02:00 AM
First of all I must say, although I don't know any reason why it isn't, this release should not have been added to the database yet, simply, because 10 months after it SHOULD have been released, it still isn't.
Ofcourse, this doesn't say I can't give a review about the tracks. They can be heard at several places. Let's do so:
The first track is in many people's opinion the best track of this record. In my opinion it's the most boring track. Don't get me wrong here, the track is outstanding, as is this whole release but the other 3 tracks just overrule this one.
I'm a big fan of atmosphere and I get what i want in the second track. It has a very dark appealing atmosphere and a cool vocal sample aswell. Great breaks, great!
Dream In Reverse is absolutely my favourite track, it makes me very happy, and its definaltely not cheese. The melody in this track is véry good, and the sounds used aswell. And ofcourse, the breaks, I love them.
The last track is a bit shorter than the others and also a little bit boring when you heard track 2 and 3, but in my opinion still more appealing than track 1. Anyway, i couldn't be negative really about this one too, it's all so awesome!
This vinyl is, will it ever be released, one of the best IDM vinyls that I will own (in the future). It really succeeds to combine very intelligent music with huge atmospheres. MUST HAVE!
10/10 is deserved here!
Lacuna Origin Presents Combinate - Gatekeeper / I See You - 13-May-08 03:35 AM
Great release by a combination (Combinate) of Lacuna Origin, who was allready signed to Blutonium, and Trimada, a familiar name aswell.
These versions are, in contrary to what the label claims it to be, not the original full mixes. These are cutted and when you listen to the ends of the tracks you can hear it. The full versions have never been released (yet). However in my opinion, the coolest parts of the tracks are featured, so you don't miss alot :-)

Sei2ure - Fall Of Technarchy / Kaos Communication - 06-Mar-08 12:51 AM
This K7 is one of the best produced in the series.
Fall Of Technarchy is a very complex track, with cool patterns and a wicked melody and vocals. It has the best buildup I have ever heard in a hardcore track. I love it!
Kaos Kommunication is rougher but also very cool. It's a very good track to start your set with, because of it's awesome intro!
Now waiting for the next K7, since it's been a while!
Outside Agency, The - In Theory Everything Is Straight - 20-Feb-08 01:47 AM
Somewhat simple looking release by The Outside Agency, but that's because this is a pretty old one. This one is their first real industrial release, in the style they still produce nowadays (ofcourse changed alot, but you know, the darkness hehe)
Cyphre's Theory has very deep kicks with an amazing synth that somehow sounds very screamy. The buildup is huge also. Imagine those deep hard pounding kicks on a huge sound system. Holy!
Metal Slug really became one of my favourite tracks from The Outside Agency. Not because it's pretty rough or complex, like most of their newer tracks, but because it's so frightening dark. One of their darkest tracks till now i reckon.
Fucking Ants is real industrial slow hardcore. Pretty slow but pretty squeeky. Cool kick effects. Better then the new Motherfucking Ants remakes on Genosha 7.
The Prophet Of Rage is also very industrial sounding, but also with a higher speed. Much higher. Cool track also, and really setting a new way of style TOA would hand 2 years after this release.
I suggest checking this vinyl just for the pure dark atmospheres and ofcourse, as a TOA fanatic, this is a must have!
Chaosbringer - Dividing The Red Sea EP - 06-Feb-08 04:08 AM
One of the best vinyls by Chaosbringer, and also one of the best I own. Chaosbringer's style is clearly recognizable and more atmosphere occurs here then in his later releases.
Eternal Sadness is great pounding stuff with very cool vocals and a typical Chaosbringer breakdown with drum n bass influences.
The remix is a bit of a dissappointment compared to the original. It's very monotone even tough it uses cool tricks and fx. I think it's too mainstream and does not really fit the vinyl.
Surface Grinding Machine is absolutely my favourite. Very cool produced with wicked and complex patterns and a very emotional dark breakdown, only Chaosbringer can do.
Commandments is a weird track with cool vocal use and hard kicks and a good drive.
5/5 is deserved here
