Funkstörung - Funkentstört - 27-Aug-08 03:51 PM
This record really is outstandingly good. I'm a bit confused about something though. The side B label indicates it runs at 45 rpm, but I think it's on there by mistake. At 45 rpm it just sounds too 'rushed'. At 33 rpm however, the tracks are wonderfull. Especially 'Funkstille', one of the prettiest pieces of music I have. If you're into mid-90's Autechre, get this one too! A great record to start your Funkstörung collection with.

Nav Katze - うわのそら - 29-May-07 06:25 AM
The album title means 'Nobody Home'. The first track means 'TV Planet' and is pronounced 'TV Wakusei'. The second track (also the album title) is pronounced 'Uwa No Sora'. The eighth track is pronounced 'Mabataki'. 'More Than A Feeling' was originally by Boston.

Richard Devine - Cautella - 01-Apr-07 01:56 AM
Quite an interesting release, this one. You could consider this to be the soundtrack for a psychedelic movie yet to be made. The greater part of the album consists of ambient or soundscape-like tracks, yet highlights like 'Sigstop' and 'Arc-Acid' are rough, experimental breakbeats. Keeping true to his mental audio madness, Otto von Schirach provides a very neat and irregular collaboration with Richard. Funkstörung's remix of 'Sigstop' is a much calmer focus on several parts of the complicated original. 'Timach' gets my vote for being the most beautiful track.

Caustic Window - Joyrex J5 EP - 19-Jan-07 04:10 AM
This EP is astounding! Three of four tracks can be found on the Caustic Window Compilation, although two of them are named differently; 'Jedi' is 'On the romance tip' and '4-Lom' is 'Joyrex 5'. What made this record worth spending lots of money on was 'R2D2', exclusive to this release. Simply one of the most outstanding tracks in RDJ's musical history, combining an excellent dancer with an appropriate amount of humor. This must be the most interesting R2D2 inspired track EVER... If you can, get your hands on this one!

Richard Devine - Sculpt - 11-Dec-06 08:23 AM
Although I'm sure this is some decent techno, this release is nothing like the later music from Richard Devine. In my opinion -not a very techno-minded one- this release is quite a disappointment. I am happy to hear him having 'evolved' out of techno to more complex rhythms and better sound design.
