Inevitech* - Etherion EP - 04-Feb-07 08:46 AM
Ironically, "Mind Zip" is my choice cut off this EP. And the "breakdown" is the most interesting part: The beat changes to a 4/4 pattern and a creepy tone begins that somehow reminds one of a flatline; this tone is then accompanied by another tone in a different octave; then another; resulting in a "cold" and creepy, but strangely pleasant, atmosphere that lasts for a couple of minutes. It's definitely my favorite moment on this slab of vinyl, to the point where I've literally forgotten what the other three tracks sound like. I'll have to listen to them again. I mean, the other tracks weren't BAD, just less interesting to me than "Mind Zip."

The only problem with the EP is the sound quality, as the entire record has been cursed with a terrible rushing background noise, but it is less noticeable during louder parts of each track. I always thought it was just my copy, until someone else told me their copy also possessed this anomaly.

Kraftwerk - Tour De France 2003 - 17-Apr-06 07:19 PM
Pardon the expression, but OMG. This is like being carressed in ever-shifting folds of silk as you float blissfully in outer space. Beautiful is too weak of a word to describe this.

Kirlian - The Angel Of Death - 28-Mar-06 05:44 AM
This was my very first slab of acid vinyl. I had ordered something else, but it was out of stock, so they gave me this instead ('they' being the good folks at Planet X). I'm glad they did. This is a true "attack-style" hard acid classic that should be in every acid lover's bin.

Various - The Brotherhood Of Structure EP - 15-Mar-06 06:19 AM
For me, I only really bought this record for "We Are Structure," one of the finest 303 tracks ever composed. The other tracks? What other tracks?

Biosphere - Microgravity - 15-Mar-06 01:52 AM
Biosphere's greatest, as far as I'm concerned. Absolutely beautiful, sublime electronic music. Warm, luscious textures mixed with old-school beats. Favorite tracks include "Tranquilizer," "The Fairy Tale," and "Baby Interphase." If I could give this a 6, I would.
