I also bought this 12" without realising its an unofficial release. As it has a good sound quality, is on a desent weight press not a flimsy one & the label/info looks like regular mo wax. Also the cat# has a 0 instead of an O that most unofficial mo wax release have.
Looks & sounds like the real deal, bootie or nor its a fine chilled hip-hop / drum & bass vinyl.
Various - '88-'92 Anthems 2 - 04-Apr-07 08:36 PM
On the 2 coppies i've had the J1 track Edge 1 - Compnded has a lilttle skip near the start on the 8th loop of the beat. Seems like its in the pressing.
Even so its a fine cash saving compilation some good acid & early hardcore. Even with a few quality tracks from the original Slipmatt mix excluded. Such as Sueno Latino, Fast Eddie, Humanoid, One Tribe, Papua New Guinea, Sound Clash, Take It Easy Remix, DJ's Unite Vol.1 & Hurt You So & others.
Plus being a 5xLP theres no more than 2 tunes a side keeping it well DJ friendly.

Missy "Misdemeanor" Elliott* - I Want You Back (DJ Hype Remix) - 03-Apr-07 09:18 PM
What an absolutly sad day for jungle / drum & bass movement it is when this a remix (or bootleg) like this comes along. Being approached by a major label to do a remix wouldn't be so bad (maybe make a buck or two). But this seams like (as its white not on label & single sided) hype thought "yeh genius idea lets put mel b & missy elliot vocal over some (reasonable alright) jungle" but no kev it the worst thing ever!!

YES SIR! some of the finest of what i would call oldskool hardcore, not that it's all that hard it's an uplifting kinda floaty style hardcore.
The first track is a bit of a darkish roller with a kind of ravey jungle feel. Track 2 some quality reggae sample business. Track 3 with the classic "it's gonna be allright" vocal & a nice piano vibe. Track 4 on the stabby 4 beat tip with some nice floating synth lines.
Quality intelligent oldskool hardcore at it's finest.
DJ Force And The Evolution* - Perfect Dreams (Remix) - 07-Apr-06 05:03 AM
The Citadel Of Kaos Remix of Perfect Dreams is in my opion the best version as it cuts out the incredibly cheesy second piano drop & is way more breakbeat / bassline orientated hardcore rather than the 4 beat orientated original or the techno mix.
