FX Zone - Synthasia - 14-Jul-06 04:26 PM
Synthasia is a very powerful hardtrance track which I liked from the first second. And Im VERY critical and picky when it comes to hardtrance. This track from FX Zone still hits my system from time to time, losing nothing from its euphoric melody and unique style.
The Nu Nrg Remix is nothing to ignore as well, much more trancy then the Original Mix, with a well worked out synth line in the break/main part. The original speed of this remix is a bit "boring" tho. Pitching it up some cents does the magic here, and the Nu Nrg Remix gets the drive it deserves.

Silvester - One More Step To Heaven - 13-Jul-06 06:11 AM
"One More Step To Heaven" is a trance beauty I will probably always love. The one Im talking about is the Original Vocal Mix. The vocals of Justine Suissa fit perfectly, and the music has a relaxing, smooth drive and a simple but effective synth chord melody. It delivers a feeling which is missing in todays trance tracks very often. It got me from the first listen.
This record deserved way more attention than it actually did. On the other hand, "One More Step To Heaven" is not overplayed at all, and its kind of a secret weapon in my collection. Im not a DJ, but when I play this track and people hear it, the reactions are very positive.
Alltime favorite !

Ace Da Brain - Tales Of Dusk And Dawn - 12-Jul-06 06:15 AM
Tales of Dusk & Dawn was for me one of the releases, or no - THE trance release in 2004 and one of the best trance tracks ever produced.
The production work and complexity of the arrangement of both tracks are outstanding in at least 5 different ways. It takes you to a journey, it tells a story, and it doesnt get boring - and that after at least 100 listens to this !
A beautiful Intro, a stunning build-up with typical Ace da Brain piano touch, and the massive break lead you into one hell of a main part with a mindblowing melody. Truly genious!
The Flipside (Sunset) is once again a harder interpretation of the (almost) same theme. But instead of just putting harder elements to it, Ace da Brain does it again and leaves you in an extraordinary journey again, creating another masterpiece of arrangement work. Hardtrance in its absolute perfection.
Tales of Dusk & Dawn is a milestone and its one of the best vinyls I ever bought.
