Dillinja is the reason i upgraded my stereo!

Check the Valve soundsystem if you have the chance - truly amazing. I heard Grimey for the first time through that system - it was like getting a full body massage in waves from the feet up. (Which was good, obviously).

Beautiful and emotional tunes almost every time. Particularly love those tracks with interlocking cascades of xylophone type sounds (see if you can find their remix of Le Tone's 'Rocky 8'). Latest stuff ive heard is a little darker but still stupidly high quality. One of Warp's finest. Check the P-Brain EP for a good mix of styles, and Ralome on Rest Proof Clockwork for a blissed-out guitar experience with gentle snares skittering from one speaker to the other (try it with headphones).

Fantastic producer of usually epic dark drum and bass. The man is great with an amen and manages to make them really chunky - Ray Keith should be jealous. Best release in my opinion is the Midnight Club EP - it sold out rediculously fast, and ive never managed to find it despite scouring all the record shops in the major cities of England. I would pay a lot of money for this heavy piece of stupidly intricate amen business. Check skyliner if you can - that tune is one of the heaviest ive ever heard. No nonsense, and high quality. A craftsman like Technical Itch.
This is an amazing album if you know how its been made. Saw the man at the RFH in London last year performing most of these tunes - he actually managed to build a danceable tune from making noises with the straw from his Big Mac meal. Then he released a frenzied drop that any junglist would love by slamming his burger into a wheelie bin rigged with microphones - loops and effects kept the tune rolling along nicely. Then we all got a free copy of the cd (you can download it too if you find his website). Nice bloke. (although the cd isnt as good without the visuals!)

Can't say much else that hasn't already been said - but i'll place extra emphasis on the quality of his tunes. There's a lot of shoddily made drum and bass out there, but Mr. Caro's tunes are finely crafted, have depth and atmos beyond the usual crappy synth wash, and he can use breakbeats like no-one else. The man is up there with the mighty Dillinja as d&b's finest but unlike D there's never any cheesiness to his tunes. Check Stack2 on the parallax EP. It just rolls.
