Various - MC Flipside Presents Tripping On Energy - 02-Oct-07 12:43 AM
A biased 5/5 cause this harkens back to my rave days. not to mention that I found this for $4 in a discount bin & it reunited me with Hollis P. Monroe's - I'm Lonely, which perfectly describes all that was perfect with mind 90's house. Overall this selection is a great look back at a well rounded (unmixed) mixof tracks that were well known at the time. Check out the Melanie Bender as well as the Freaky Flow track for one's that hold up to the test of time.

Slacker - Psychout - 23-Jul-03 09:18 PM
Psychout Thing has been one of my favorite tracks since it's release. The funky driving beat pleases almost all audiences & get's them dancing. The sample (sounds like Eddie Murphy) is amazingly integrated into the track & adds depth to this mix. I enjoy the other mixes as well, but neither compare to Psychout Thing.

AIR - The Virgin Suicides - 28-Apr-03 04:29 PM
A haunting soundtrack/score from the movie The Virgin Suicides. If you have seen this movie it will bring back the ominous feeling found through out the movie, though if you have not seen the movie this CD will still haunt you with it's beautiful sounds as only Air can make. Solid through & through.

AIR French Band* - Moon Safari - 28-Apr-03 04:26 PM
Truly an amazing sophmore release from this french duo. I bought it for Kelley Watch the Stars, but loved it for every other track. The only song that gets on my nerve is Sexy Boy.

The album has a floaty selection of downtempo beats that can follow you from laying on the beach to going to sleep to breaking up with your mate. Truly a versatile album which is a permanent selection in the soundtrack to my life.

An interesting note: The beats in the video version of Kelley are more accoustic than the album version.

Various - Beats By Dope Demand 4 - 28-Apr-03 04:20 PM
Deep big beat & electro breaks. Overall decent fare, wont stay in your player forever, but is nice to have as part of your disc collection.
