I actually have the double cd with Man with a Movie Camera. However, Substrata is my choice of the two. The long drones and beautiful progressions are just wonderful. Every single piece of every track fits together, even the Twin Peaks samples which are throughout the cd. Substrata is not simply ambient, it has all sorts of beats, rhythms and different samples that come in and out all over the place....perfect for a drive home in the dark.

This cd is a mixture of Prefuse 73 and Savath & Savalas. Very glitchy and clicky all the way through with the melodic tones of Savath. If you are a Scott Herren fan you will enjoy this. Paz Suite 3 is my favorite track...

Clicks and Cuts, mixed with melodies and beats are the peices of this pie. The real question I grapple with is if I like Kristuit Salu or Morris Nightingale more....Salu is glitchy while Nightingale is melodic and more on the hip hop side. The more I listen the more I like..

Possibly one of the most beautiful cds ever put out. The crossing of beats and ambient drones is amazing. My favorite track is Phonex - Amphora, listen to it. Listening to this cd and then Squadron really gives a feel of what Merck is capable of. Enjoy...
