While the duo may not be under-rated, they're definitely under-valued. Artists such as Aphex and Squarepusher get all the plaudits flung in their direction for their innovation (and rightly so), but Super_Collider, for some reason, remain a footnote in the Big Book of Electronica.
Hell with that - they're not a mere curiosity. 'Head On' is one of the most innovative records of recent years, and is more than worthy of sitting alongside the works of yer 'Pushers and Aphexes. Both Vogel and Lidell are blessed with unique genius, each in their own right, but collaboratively, they've achieved true greatness.
Can't wait till the follow-up finally sees the light of day.
