Profile:
Born 1976 in the year of the mighty dragon and thirsty ever since.
Records from my collection rated 1-3 are open for
discussion (sale/trade), the rest is NOT!
My rating "system":
1: it hurts to listen to
2: plain crap
3: quite ok, but nothing i HAVE to keep
4: stuff I keep (sometimes for 1 track only)
5: very good stuff (sometimes for 1 track, too)
And some stuff is just out of scale, when I find the time one day I will write some comments on all those to show my love & respect!

Showbiz & A.G. - Soul Clap EP - 21-Jan-07 08:31 AM
The picture above is showing the original press. Check the scan, the main artist is "Showbiz & A.G.", on most of the re-issues it's "Showbiz & A.G" without the closing period.
Boogie Down Productions - Poetry / Elementary - 21-Jan-07 08:31 AM
This one has been re-issued and bootlegged over the years, as well as many other B-Boy Records releases.
An easy way to spot the difference is that the originals NEVER have a barcode on the label. Not enough for 100% proof though but a good indicator.
Black Radical MKII - Monsoon - 27-Aug-05 01:06 AM
'Monsoon' was initially meant to appear on Coldcut's album 'What's That Noise' but, the label Big Life didn't want to put it on. In the words of Black Radical "Yazz walked into the studio and Coldcut introduced us and asked her to listen to the track. She stood motionless, looked at us like we were f***ing mad or something, she looked at Matt (Coldcut) as if he was f***ing mad and said, 'Oh yeah, that's nice'". It never went on because Yazz and Big Life were offended by it.....bad decision. It became a massive underground hit and even reached number one for many weeks on Germany's Hip Hop chart.
Compton's Most Wanted* - It's A Compton Thang - 25-Feb-05 02:45 PM
Oh Boy, when this came out I was 13 or 14 years of age, and I was germanys biggest CMW fan. To me, this one is even more classic Compton shit than "Straight outta Compton" from NWA. Too bad Chill left the group, the combination of him an Eiht was great. I still get goose skin when I listen to the first track of this album ("but the homie who ran, hmm, one times gaffled him up...), there´s no way I can listen to this song at a moderate volume!! Childhood memories...
WC And The Maad Circle - Ain't A Damn Thang Changed - 11-Feb-05 09:32 AM
One of my all-time favorites. I always end up realising, that 1991 was the best year in hip hop history. So here's Sir Jinx's masterpiece, heavy George Clinton influenced West Coast G-Funk before it all became wack. "Out on a furlough" is one of the best 'i innocently went to prison and came back" stories ever ("Since I ain't a snitch I was thrown in the jailhouse..") and "You don't work, U don't eat" with these great features is a rare example for the kids of folks to look up to. Teachin'!! And there are so many other great tracks on this one... classic.
