Dark, minimalistisc, repetitive music in the style of Aphex Twin's "Selected Ambient Works II".
Melancholic and paranoid sound poetry, ideal for a lonesome stroll down the dark alleys of a big city.
Makes you look twice.
Kashmir (2) - Home Dead EP - 23-Jun-05 04:32 PM
Home Dead EP is a follow-up to the succesfull 3rd album The Good Life by Kashmir. The Good Life was alot about these catchy poptunes, while Home Dead is alot more experimental, wich is heard in just about any tune on the EP, from the traditional "Miss You (Slight Return)" to the "Home Dead" track, and the Opiate remixes of "Mom In Love, Daddy In Space" and "Gorgeous".
A quite diffrent outlet from Kashmir, but its still quite interresting!

At your first listen, the songs might seem chaotic, boring and without any real dynamics, but when you start to understand the songs, this album becomes a gigantic beauty of sound! All the complex arrangements couldn't be better than they are, and all the way through, they seem to keep the listener focused on the music, together with Maynards outstanding vocal peformance!
Now thats a great record!

This is one of the first Trance records i ever bought, and its one of the few umchiumchi-music records i still listen to, being a rock-listener.. DJ Tandu really made a great mix, with the melodies in focus.. great dynamics, and overall a nice energetic mix!
