I like all of it, but my favorite stuff is techno, from the hardest of the hard techno to softer melodic stuff, it's a wide universe out there. All time highs are definitely the older cuts, circa 1998-2001, back when techno had balls and urgency. Coming from an old punk background it seems like a natural progression. But as I age, the slower, more melodic, and pussier minimal sound has earned its place as well. I also have a penchant for old disco wax, and playing that stuff out. I have a huge collection of Midwest artists and labels (esp old Woody McBride/Communique), trying to complete a backcatalog and willing to trade and buy wanted releases. I have over 2000 records, many of which are not counted on this datebase, yet. I'll gladly give you an mp3 if I have it, but don't ask me to rip vinyl tracks to mp3 for you just b/c you aren't willing to pay whatever a seller is asking. I would also like to take this moment and space to register my disgust at people being able to catalog their mp3s on discogs. It's just stupid.

Adam Beyer - Recutz Nov 15, 2008
This is a repress of CR 07 - Remainings II. It was repressed in late 2001, I bought my copy from Sonic Groove in NYC. It was limited to 50 copies only, but is a 100% repress of Remainings II, nothing new or different other than the white label. The style is typical of both Code Red, and Swechno of the period, clinky higher parts with shuffling synths on the bottom and punchy clear drum tracks.
This compilation provides an excellent collection of Black Flag tracks from the pre-Rollins era. Morris, Chavo, and Dez all added a unique character to the band, and this album makes it obvious. The progression of the band's sound is apparent, the multiple version of Gimme Gimme Gimme make it clear, but overall the listener hears the band's sound get more aggressive and faster as the LP progresses. Overall a great record to buy to see the progression of Black Flag as a band, prior to Rollins taking over in 1981.

this is my favorite user record ever, i am on my second copy already! the US side is amazing, full of thick gritty ass synth and a kick drum that thuds and pounds. flip it for another club bomb, with tons of percussion and that trademark user thump. this is the user must have in my book.

this record is insane! one side is a very smooth riding user track with a long flowing synth line. the a track on the flipside is a club workout with a great vocal that screams about suffering in bed. grab this if you see it!
wham bam thank you m'am! the A cut 'dealing and stealing' is great, but the real gems of this 12" are the two electro cuts on the flipside. true pants rippers. hard, fast, brutal electro.
Boo-Ya!
another advent butt kicker! this was one of the most popular records the year it was released, and after listening to it all i can do is agree. hard as nails A track, and a great first cut on the B side followed by an even better..in my opinion one of his best...electro cuts. this is a must have advent record indeed! 5/5
Advent, The - Motor EP May 28, 2003
this is one of my top five all time favorite techno records. the A cut is, well...if you have not heard it you are living under a rock! that unmistakeable hard advent kick and some really crunchy distorted shaker sounds. B side is great as well, first track another typical pounding advent job, and the inner track one of his seminal electro cuts. the electro track is not as good as some of his others, but the two 4/4 tracks on the record more than make up for it. tough to find, but well worth the effort to get a copy! 5/5 on this one
