Leo Anibaldi - Possession / Acid Perversion - 09-May-07 12:45 AM
"Ritmicida" is definitely THE track on this record. I first heard it on a mix tape in -93 and thought, "man, someone's got a brilliant idea speeding up some mean acid track, that sounds awesome!". Only after many years I found out what this track is, and that it actually IS that fast. :)
I would say that in 1992, this track must have been something different. And it still is. Ultra fast beat, original drumline and fast, hypnotic 303 line with cutoff rising and falling makes one very, very mean piece of electronic music history.

Jam & Spoon - Tales From A Danceographic Ocean - 21-Apr-04 01:55 AM
Unimportant trivia to those who don't know: in "My First Fantastic F.F.", the last two letters actually means "Fist F**k". What a beautiful name for a track. ;)

"Stella" is very different from the two other tracks. "Keep On Movin'" and "My First Fantastic F.F." are trippy and dark tracks with excellent atmosphere. If "Stella" is "like a breeze on a hot summer night", the other two are "like a rave in thunderstorm".

Overboust - Tribal Groovy Hartbeat - 13-Apr-04 02:26 PM
A decent record! All three tracks are quite different from each other. 'Lost In New York' is actually a very good hardcore track with some twisted sounds and a great structure, a classic in my mind! The other two tracks are closer to each other, more peaceful, with 303 lines in them. All tracks are hardly boring with lots of stuff happening all the time.

Digital Boy - 1-2-3 Acid! - 25-Feb-04 08:49 AM
Have to give it 5/5 because of the Futuristik Mix. In my personal opinion it falls into similar "alltime techno classics" category as GTO - Elevation, Second Phase - Mentasm, LFO - LFO and various others. Don't get me wrong, the other mixes on the record are also good, but Futuristik Mix... It defo has that something.

Rozalla - Everybody's Free - 03-Jan-04 04:44 PM
I'm giving it 2 out of 5 just because of the first one, "everybody's free". It is a techno-pop/dance/whatever-track, clearly calculated by marketing forces in the time when techno was getting (or already was) soooo popular and mainstream and everybody wanted to make their own "techno" hit. But still, I have to admit that despite it being somewhat cheesy (simple vocals, hit structure, pianos, 909 drums, orchestra hits etc... come on!!), I like the track very much. It still works well and not the least because of Rozalla's beautiful voice.
Another one to mention is "are you ready to fly", which is an ok track because of the good melody, however the producing is crap (hey, let's make another technodancepop-hit!). This track was later borrowed by Dune who made it a happy rave/hardcore-track, and it works much better in that format imho. Don't know if Rozalla's producers borrowed it from somewhere too though. :)
The rest of the album is changing from below average to absolute crap, some songs trying to make it to the techno-pop category but mostly failing (few added techno sounds here and there don't turn below average pop tracks into techno u know?!), some being these boring ballads trying to make the record a complete album.
