Twenty-Something - Sugar Rush / Natural / Roulade - 15-Feb-03 11:09 AM
I first heard "Sugar Rush" in the days of napster, and have since been searching for all works of Twenty Something/Dawnseekers/Photon Project. I was surprised to find a copy of this 12" on eBay. I found that my mp3 copy of "Sugar Rush" was an entirely different (worse, imo)version.

"Sugar Rush" is what the trance scene was about, back in the days when people actually went to raves. It's a great intro, build and explosion of music that sends a tingle through my body each time I listen to it.

"Natural" is my favorite track. The main synthesizer(s) in it grab my attention and make me sit and listen to the whole track, eyes closed.

"Roulade" - it reminds me of cheesy video game music, but as in the latter two songs, they create beautiful musical scores, combining synthesizer chords and bass lines together so perfectly that it sets them above computer generated riffs so often scene nowadays.
