Profile: Music lover and vinyl junkie in general, vinyl DJ, recordstore/smartshop employee and occasional psychedelic muncher in particular.
Born in late '85, i've been listening to music from age 1 (from metal to reggae) and began growing a real interest for electronic/dance music when I was 17, at a very nice techno party and under the influence of some nice psychedelics. I started buying vinyl around 2006/2007. I'm rather fond of electro, acid, italo-disco, bayou funk, minimal techno, old school jungle, dub, roots reggae, soul, funk, IDM, glitch, ambient, soundtrack, experimental, downbeat, drum 'n' bass, dubstep and a load in between.
Most CD's in my collection are from my "orientation period", before I thought it was useful for myself to buy vinyl, and before I was introduced to my first set of turntables. I was sold instantly to the feel, sound and smell of vinyl and the whole magic of mixing with VINYL!

Legowelt - Reports From The Backseat Pimp - 15-Aug-08 11:45 AM
This is without a shadow of a doubt the best piece of music that can be found in my record collection. I'm almost afraid to play it in the fear of damaging it. I kept it sealed for about a week before I dared opening it...
every track on this vinyl is pure brilliance to me. This is the most raw, minimalistic and qualitatively outstanding electro money can buy in my opinion. Swimming Pool, Deutsches PKW, Get In, Piereffs Art Gallery and Backseat Adventures as absolute highlights (if you can speak of highlights on an album that is this good overall)
This record will be and stay in my record bag for ages, playing it everywhere for everyone. That also means I need to get myself a second copy real soon, just in case...
Meneer Wolfers, thank you for making music...
Squadra Blanco - Night Of The Illuminati - 15-Aug-08 10:08 AM
This release (nearly) brings me to tears every time I give this one a listen. So you can imagine I cry quite a bunch...
Currently collecting everything wolfers has ever produced and this double pack is qualitatively so incredibly good. Not quite as uplifting and quirky as most of his releases on Bunker, Crème and Stilleben, but this one goes way into the deep. Gonna bag myself another copy as soon as I can, because the one I own is already wearing out.
Very deep bass drums, tear jerking melodies, dark, sinister melodies that give you goosebumps every time it kicks in.
My favourite place to listen to this album is driving along a deserted road at night, smoking a big one and just smiling from ear to ear...
J.T.C.* - Take 'em Off - 08-Aug-08 06:54 AM
The first release on the Jak division of Crème.
As you can expect from mister Cotton, this one is a keeper. A dark, twisting acid killer, stuffed with shrill sound, big claps and a tough, thumping bass drum. A bit more acid orientated then most of his other releases, but that can't be a bad thing imo.
This one surely sets the standard for the following releases from other producers dedicated to the Jack.
The track has a great build-up. It keeps getting intenser as it progresses, a real dance floor killer.
Elec Pt.1* - Dangerous For The Environment - 26-Apr-08 08:50 AM
Elec Pt.1 - Dangerous for the environment.
Andreas Gehm delivers another great release on Bunker records. Every track is just dripping with acid, with By The Sun, Dirty Mission and By The Moon as the highlights of this 12".
The record has a very nice old-school sound, especially I Got Cha sounds like a track that was produced in the '80's, great industrial sound, big-ass bass and nice hi-hats in between. If you are into acid or the overall great Bunker-sound, this is one for you to hear and enjoy.
Another Bunker classic for sure!
Nathan Fake - Dinamo - 10-Mar-08 06:38 AM
A very diverse release, 3 totally different tracks whilst staying true to the sound Nathan Fake is so well known for. Great up-building tracks, (sometimes) complicated melodies and bass lines.
Dinamo is for me the best track of the three, slowly building, the beautiful melody slowly getting intenser as the track progresses.
Coheed is a nice and slow melancholic house track with soft, soulful vocals running through, keeping the track together.
Undoing The Laces, a great track with acid written all over it. A deep bass drum accompanied by a great acid line.
One of the better releases on the Cologne based label Traum Schallplatten.
