Kraftwerk - Radioactivity - 12-Feb-04 02:27 AM
The '91 Remixes of Radioactivity include a new Sample to sort out missunderstandings. While the original vocal was "radioactivity - it's in the air for you and me" it know says "stopp radioactivity - it's in the air for you and me".
Kraftwerk - Radio-Activity - 02-Dec-03 05:21 PM
Kraftwerks first real Concept Album, released after their international breakthrough with "Autobahn". The Album was not very well recieved by international Audiences, which where waiting for another Hit like Autobahn, and could not handle the concept of this Album. However it was a big success in France.
Moreover, it was the source of one of the biggest misunderstandigs concerning Kraftwerk. They where accused to romantize Radioactivity and Atomic-Power, while in Germany there was a large Anti-Atomic movement. Many people did simply not get the irony in it. And totally ignoring, the concept of the Album who played with nostalia (Radio) and modernism (nuclear power). In their live appearences in the nineties the song "Radio-Activity" includes a new vocal, to sort out misunderstandings. It says "Stop Radioactivity" now. This misunderstanding might also be one of the reasons for Kraftwerk to take part at the Sellafield concert organized by U2.
The Song "Voice of Energy" introduces for the first the "the digital singer", the typical Kraftwerk robot-voice.
Kraftwerk - Kraftwerk - 12-Nov-03 03:21 PM
This firts Kraftwerk Album reflects the early roots of the later Electronic-Avantgarde Group, coming from the psycadelic-rock and Kraut Rock. "Ruckzuck" is not only for Kraftwerk Fans a special Track, but is also said to have been one of the favorite Songs of the Group themselves. It is dominated by a flute-riff played by Florian Schneider, and "Ruckzuck" remained for a long time the opener of the early Kraftwerk Konzerts.
Jean-Michel Jarre - Oxygene - 22-Oct-03 11:55 AM
This LP from 1976 (!) is a good example for how much ahead of it's time Jean Michel Jarre always was. Not only because of the wonderfull synthy melodies of Oxygen II and IV, which for sure everybody has already has heard somewhere. I also find a second thing interessting: This is somehow the oldest electronic mixed album I own, since all the Tracks merge into another and you can not exactly tell where exactly one is meant to end and the other to begin.
Age Of Love - The Age Of Love - 22-Oct-03 04:50 AM
True trance classic from 1992! The Watch Out For Stella Mix rules! Before the Sample "Come on, Dance with Me" comes in for the first time, there is a high-frequency squeeking sound getting louder and louder. Back in the days I used to think this was due to a faillure of the speakers in the club... ;)
