Reviews & Discussion:

A milestone in german rap history!
On their only album the legendary twin brothers from Heidelberg drop dope beats and clever battle lyrics with distinctive flow, voice and accent.Especially the title track has cult status in the german speaking indie-rap scene for it's critical lyrics about the effect of greed and consume culture on Hip-Hop.
The album is a bit short with 7 original tracks(with lyrics), a Remix, a breakdance song and some skits.
Lyricially it can be classified as a pure rap album as the lyrics are either about demonstrating skills or critisising whack mc's.
When it comes to german rap, it doesn't get much better than this. The production is absolutely brilliant, every beat revolves around multiple wonderful jazz and soul samples, the drums are always bouncing and it's mixed and mastered as a Hip-Hop album should be with high dynamic and loud snares.
Lyricially it is a good mix of traditional battle/representer tracks like "Kopfnicker" or "Jurasta Park" and thoughtful/consious rap like "Nichtsnutz" or "Das und Dies".
Sadly the group decided to switch to a more pop orientated sound and get rid of producer/mc Wasi after that.

A true german rap classic, one of the most sought records of its genre. The production by DJ Rabauke is pretty jazzy with great samples from Lee Dorsey, Leroy Hutson and others but most distinctive are the smart, entertaining lyrics and the unique voice of Dendemann.
Standing out is the track "Ich so, er so", in which Dendemann recites a discussion with a Pizza delivery guy who turns out to be a wanna be rapper.Even after the Crew has dropped 2 full Albums, this EP is still regarded by many(myself for example) as their best work.
