Initial thoughts: If Akufen and Guillaume Berroyer had a child and it experimented with Detroit techno in the 90's this would be the evil progeny.

I picked this one up a long time ago. Listening to it as I write this, I can remember dancing to some of the tracks, and just relaxing with others. For someone who enjoys lush pads, eclectic samples (some jazz, some tribal, some vocal), and Drum & Bass that's "toned down" but still causes movement, this is an album to listen to. Introspective body and soul music.

Various - Bakchich EP#2

This Bakchich sampler EP contains two of my favorites French House era tracks. An under-rated bass groovey track by Julien Auger called, 'Last'. It is one of his earlier productions that lays framework for future releases of filtered, sample-based, French goodness. 'Broken House' by Cheesy D is a quality track heavily relying on Dub-ragga oriented, and a xelophone(?) samples. A heatwave lounger. DJ Brâme's 'Charley B' is an abstact disco-ey track, as well as Motorbass's '1980'.

You can still rock any party with 'Girl Let Me' 'Touch of Sax' or this whole record.
