Reviews & Discussion:

Initial thoughts: If Akufen and Guillaume Berroyer had a child and it experimented with Detroit techno in the 90's this would be the evil progeny.
My record must be a mix of this and the other Argo release cat# LP-628. The label is grey, 'J80P-3506' which is on the other Argo LP is placed in a different spot. The matrix number is LP 628-8671 J8OP 3506
Also on Diplomat Records, catalog # FM 108
I picked this one up a long time ago. Listening to it as I write this, I can remember dancing to some of the tracks, and just relaxing with others. For someone who enjoys lush pads, eclectic samples (some jazz, some tribal, some vocal), and Drum & Bass that's "toned down" but still causes movement, this is an album to listen to. Introspective body and soul music.
My copy does not say AS-05

"Oliver Nelson______The Blues And The Abstract Truth_____Stereo A-5"
There is another repress with the Cat# M5-138V1. US COPYRIGHT 1966, ORIGINALLY RELEASED: 8/25/66
This Bakchich sampler EP contains two of my favorites French House era tracks. An under-rated bass groovey track by Julien Auger called, 'Last'. It is one of his earlier productions that lays framework for future releases of filtered, sample-based, French goodness. 'Broken House' by Cheesy D is a quality track heavily relying on Dub-ragga oriented, and a xelophone(?) samples. A heatwave lounger.
DJ Brâme's 'Charley B' is an abstact disco-ey track, as well as Motorbass's '1980'.
You can still rock any party with 'Girl Let Me' 'Touch of Sax' or this whole record.
Ricky Suarez's 'Deep Vibes', samples Barbara Tucker's 'Beautiful People'.
The "deep inside" vocals were sampled by Louie Vega, amoung many others.
A jazzy, funk filled masterpiece. A tune for all house fans.
