Dennis Ferrer - Underground Is My Home - 29-Sep-06 02:41 AM
Dennis F's on fire this year. 'Underground is My Home' is a deep as deep can get; solid house rhythm at 126 BPM and one of the sickest basslines of the moment before the vocal preachings of Tyrone Ellis come in - vocal or instrumental both equally good, this is undoubtedly one of the house tunes of the year! Various - Soulfuric Vaults Vol. 1 - 12-Jan-06 06:04 PM
Soulfuric have grabbed into their bag of unreleased goodies and put out a hot three tracker. Kicking things off is the Groove Junkies edit of "A mystical journey" by Galaxy People that features the vocal from Donna Allen's "He is the joy". On the flip is a cool edit of Orange Muse's "Keep the funk alive" by Andy Holder, giving the track new life on the dancefloors with phat beats and big builds and breaks. Rounding off is the MoD remix of "Power of music" by Bongoloverz, taking the track deeper with warm and jazzy keys.
Kolai Krew, The - Take It Back - 12-Jan-06 06:04 PM
"Take it back" is bringing back the music from the disco era with its combination of oldschool disco, funk, soul and jazz grooves that get topped with Maria Rochelle's sultry vocals and freestyle vibes by MC Krayola. The result is a ultra cool flashback of the past that will make your feet move with its uplifting feeling.
Kerri Chandler - Return 2 Acid - 01-Nov-05 08:19 AM
Kerri pulls out all the stops on this one. Return 2 Acid features Kerri with a powerhouse tribute to the glorious days of Acid House. Return 2 Acid features driving beats and keys with an incessant 808 acid line to drive the floors crazy-this was a big hit this year during the Miami Music Conference. Kerri goes old-school on side B, this time with an electro Afrika Bambaataa influenced jam entitled Planet Sonic.
Mr. V (4) - Jus Dance - 24-Aug-05 11:07 AM
"Jus dance" features spoken words over a bumpin' four-to-the-floor groove with funky beats, topped with simple yet effective keys and a jazzy rhodes solo in the 'Sole Channel Mix'. The 'Cosmic Ritual Dub' by Alix Alvarez gets more minimnal with a touch of raggae, featuring less of the vocals and a more urgent bassline, spreading a hypnotic crowd pleasing feeling.
