Secret Frequency Crew - Forest Of The Echo Downs - 22-Oct-04 02:51 PM
One of the finest albums I've heard in a long while. The mix of organic and artificial ingredients is superb. Everything is perfectly placed, and this thing just flows. Sublime.

DJ Shadow & Cut Chemist - Product Placement - 02-Feb-04 10:06 AM
Anyone who's heard "Brainfreeze" understands that trying to create an equally successful follow-up would be no easy task. "Product Placement" is very good, but falls just a few steps short of great. It's just not as interesting as Brainfreeze, and the Rappin' With Gas segment wears thin upon further listens (unlike Thunderkick, which never gets old). I will say that the jingles section (Coke, Strike Cola, Milk, etc...) is extremely well done. So yeah, this isn't quite the same caliber as Brainfreeze, but it's still better than most mixes you're likely to hear from any other DJ(s).

Basic Channel - BCD - 01-Nov-03 12:52 PM
I've heard many reports of the CDs in these metal boxes cracking because of the hub being too tight. This is the case with this disc, the Maurizio comp, and all of the Chain Reaction discs that came in these metal boxes. If you haven't done so already, I recommend storing the disc in a plastic sleeve inside the metal box, that way you get the cool look of the box, but not the cracked discs.

Prefuse 73 - Extinguished: Outtakes - 11-Sep-03 05:05 AM
This is really an exceptional disc. Even though it's presented as outtakes and etc..., it works really well as a whole. It's just like this big soup of beats and all kinds of different styles. Great stuff.

Chris Clark - Ceramics Is The Bomb - 30-Jun-03 01:47 PM
Great release, and perfectly suited for Warp. Some great acid stylings here, really nice beaty material, but still with some lovely, almost Aphex-y melodies. Can't wait to hear the new album, whenever it's coming out.
