Fortis Sakharof - 1900? - 01-Oct-07 07:43 AM
This album was made by two former Minimal Compact members - Fortis and Sakharof. It was their third album together after the successful "Tales from the Box" album and after the "Foreign Affair" project. Very nice album with lots of songs that became hits in the Israeli charts. In compare to their long Minimal Compact career, this album sounds different. It is less alternative or experimental, but more pop/rock melodic songs that shows their great talent with producing hits. Rock songs like America, and touchy ballad song like Sparks, give us this very good and recommended album!

Siam (3) - War And Peace And Inbetween - 01-Oct-07 03:25 AM
Israeli band Siam was one of the most important bands in the New-Wave scene of Tel-Aviv in the early-mid 80's. They had a very unique playing style, which came from Goldman's electronic violin playing. They remind bands like Killing Joke or Simple Minds, only with more dark and alternative sounds. This album is a sort of compilation of all their major hits, including the hit "Down Town Tel Aviv", which speaks about the city's nightlife and its clubs culture. They ended their way as a band in the early 90's. In 2006, in honor of a good friend of them who died, they came back to one single show in Tel-Aviv, and according to them they're working on new material for a new album. Today Goldman, by the way, is leading the one of Israel's most successful advertising company.

Foreign Affair - East On Fire - 01-Oct-07 02:11 AM
This album was made by two former Minimal Compact members - Fortis and Sakharof. After the band had split, the two came back to Israel and recorded in 1988 a very successful and important album in Hebrew - "Tales from the Box". They considered it to be a one time project, and came back to Europe in order to record the new album of their new group - Foreign Affair. This album reminds the style of Minimal Compact with its ethnic and oriental influences, but in this time the two emphasized the electronic sounds and their ability to create great melodic songs. The album wasn't such a success as they expected, and the two came back to Israel in order to establish their long, rich and successful careers, together and in separate. Anyway, it is a great album!

Bionic (7) - Generation E - 30-Sep-07 04:52 PM
The mind behind this album belongs to Guy Assif, an Israeli journalist from Tel-Aviv, That together with bunch of friends established the "Happy" philosophical theory (pretty simple theory which calls everybody to be happy in every day of his/her life). Assif, together with his band "Ping Pong", even brought their ideas to the 2000 european song contest, with their song "Happy", and their unforgetable scandalous performence. In this "Bionic" project, that came a little bit earlier, Assif began to scatter his ideas through dance music. This album deals with trance, techno, Drum & Bass, Latino beats, and all variety of dance music, in order to rise the value of Happiness. Quite unique album, not the ordinary dance album you might be used to hear, with lots of humor. Fun and Happiness to you all!

Various - Trance Mix 3 - 30-Sep-07 04:21 PM
I think it is the best chapter in the whole series. It is also the most important one, because actually this was the first Israeli trance cd ever that all of its tracks were made by Israeli artists! So it is truly a pioneer! Very beautiful and melodic tracks, which led the way to the so well known Israeli trance sounds! I remember when this cd came out, and the excitement it aroused! Collectors item that is very recommended to try to get!
