Profile: Whatch me, original Rub a Dub style,RootsNCulture!
After struggling from 87 till 94,of what kind of music i really appreciated and that would fit me and my enviorment,i finnaly found a style that,i liked(BREAKBEAT)
IT was in the winter of 94 that i went to the first rave ever @ the (Energiehal) in Rotterdam
Where famous djs like ,Akira,dj Panic,Ruffneck.Dj Paul,3 Steps Ahead,Omar Santana, The Speedfreak, were mosly palying hardcore/rave and some times there were some breakbeats, and that was the thing that always grabed my mind...i wanted to find out more of this style.....:),so i attended also the earleir hardcore party and raves ,such as at the smaller club ,called Pompei where djs Panic,Lars,Gizmo,Buzzfuzz, Paul backed up by an Mc Forze(Irvin),they used to play every fridays (playing gabber,hardcore/breakbeat some of teh tunes are great classics now),during 94/96 and also other Clubs called ,Demi Sec at that time(ruffneck,RTC,Darkraver) ,i was always visiting (dutch) raves and oldskool gabber parties.(but still could not find the style i was searching for)
Until in 1995/96,when i hooked up with a friend who had ..soo much tapes, cds and Lps ,(cause i was living @ his place for a while)and that was were i got introduced to hardcore/rave/jungle.
This was something very new to me,i had heard it at raves but never like this!it was like as if i found something new, a style, which i was looking for but could not reach.
After a few years of listening to all the famous Uk and other labels, Xl records,Subbase,Moving Shadow,Kniteforce ,Riot Beats,Forceinc,Rotterdam Rec......and so on...and so, on,and so on:)
for a couple of years i listend soo much rave, but there was a need for something new, fresh, stronger, harder, noisier, agressif(BREAKCORE),i then bought a cd by Alec Empire,(Squeeze The Trigger)in 1998 x/mas..i remember very well back in the days that i heard a cd called Rauschen, 4 and 5(Forze Inc)GER,it was a copmlation of artists and i remember that Alec empire had some tracks on it,and i knew that, his music ,was alawys ruffer than the stuff i was listening to at that period.
So when i got this Album of Alec Empire in 1998,at virgin music store In Rotterdam ,my whole world changed again ....
i was really amazed at the style(riot sounds),this was nothing copmpared to any rave i heard or jungle tune..it was MAD!
I got so addicted to the label, and that was when i bought my first records,(DHR)Digital Hardcore Rec.
Slowly i learned that this was another dimension,a mix of ,punk, metal, the ragga(vocals),distorted like hell, the samples...it was just too crazy,as if i enterd wonderland:)
I slowly got intrested in more ruffer stuff, and i learned other breakcore labels like ,....Ambush,Peace.off,Koolpop,Irritant,somatic Responses and more...so i collected mainly beakcore records at first!(from 1999 ,after 2004 i started collecting oldskoolrave/Hardcorebreakbeat/jungle).........:):)
In 2002 ,i met a guy called (FFF),playing @ the waterfront,i was so amazed by his set, because it was the fist person, that i came across who understood my kind of music..because at that time there was no one ,who i could share my music with, just some friends(DIONYSOS) .
So after meeting with him(FFF),i, got my first turntables and then i strated to mix as well .
I played @ my first party in 2002,the famous (breakcore a go go) parties,(which held up for a year and we invited many breakcore legends, who played there)along with Bong-ra and Dionysos and ofcourse FFF we formed the Rotterdam Breackore kru!,and from there i am ,where iam now:),even with a bigger kru now, from all over Holland:):)
i have deejayd with many of my favouite artists, artists i never would imagine of being with them on the same line up:):)
so that were it started ........
........I have been deejaying for around 5 years
I have deejayd with many international artists to name a few,Christoph de Babalon,Patric.C,Bizzy B ,Rotator,Parasite,Pisstank,Dj Scud,Doormouse, and more:)
At times i also like to combine my dj sets with MCing ,(due to my love and understanding of raggamuffin/broken english patwah vocals!)
(I listen to a lot of raggamuffin/hiphop-Dancehall/reagge-Roots&dub and other stuff besides breakbeat).
I have mceed with: Aphasic,Enduser,Bizzy B ,Shitmat,,NonProphet,Atiq,
Bong-ra,Pisstank,LfoD,Strog,Newk,Dionysos,FFF.many more:)
Back in the days 2002/2004 i was always spinning breakcore, but nowadays, I spin oldskool/rave and ragga/jungle..because that is where my heat is @
.... ofcourse...nothing beats Breakcore Madness,i do still spin it for those who like it:)!!!
Now today 2007,we are starting our own parties,(Wreck Havoc)organised by Waterfront, but set up by FFF,me and Kru, and now we are concentrating more in oldskool,we will be kicking off our first gig ,with the UK lgened Bizzy B , and hopefully from there on are planning more gigs every 2 months...
As for the deejaying ,i have also played,in France,Poland,Berlin Belguim and Norway,

Various - The Anniversary Edition - 08-Aug-09 02:56 AM
Finally the dutch record label, placed the awesome ,remix of Fascinationon on this limited pressing!
For years i was hoping that this remix would be pressed on wax,and my queustion has been answerd. YES hardcore berakbeat in effect!!! Even better than the orginal, with ofcourse the touch of the amen break and not to miss the kicks and rave samples :)
Get this one fast, its the only version on record, with the remix, all you oldskool DJS should!
Big up to DJ Weirdo and of couse Mr D. Charlesworth ,one love!
Bizzy B - The Science EP - 29-May-08 05:40 AM
"Putting most of us to sleep,in the 90"s ,with too many,i said too many Slowjams, and i wanna know wheres the beats for the mind and for the feet ,not those songs that"s putting me to sleep" My gosh ,if there were any way i could rate this record it would be a 6 out of 5. Slowjam,This track is and always will be "timeless",i really do not know what was going on in BizzyBz head while making the track,it is just nuttah, It still sounds modern even if i compare it with bizzyBz latest works. After the quote at the begining of the track, the song has a amen break flow with a special twist(still trying to find out the exact sample source),and the track is filled with some dark soundscapes and horiffic voices, especially just after the middle of the track where the awesome Mentazm comes in ,which will just freak any ,raver, or dancehalljunkie on the dancefloor or at home, Believe Me.
As for the rest of the 3 tracks i must say,Revolution mixxes are not too diffrent from each other but they really stand out eventhough they are more listening tracks to me ,and last but not least "XTC Is A Science",a very well constructed track with lots of things happeing like, breaks going all sides slicing and diceing the amens,a thing that bizzy b is an expert in and of cousre his breakdowns, some serious sampling. But for me the one that Stands the most is the insane track Slowjam, i remember it being on a complation Cd called Rauschen volume 5 (Forze Inc) that was where i first heard the track in 95!
If you have not heard this track before, then you are missing out a true classic!
Big up to the Brain Records Kru
King Of The Street, The Feat. Brothers Crush - The King Of The Street Feat. Brothers Crush - 28-Mar-08 02:31 AM
King of the streets?,There aint no King of the Streets its all about survival, Alec Empire sampeld the best part of the movie (Trespass)1992,spoken by Ice Cube. A very deep drum and Bass/ Jungle track,my gosh get this one in your Riot Beat collection. Also the flip side, Brothers Crush is a tune not to miss, with a deep reaggae bass and a very unclear voice shouting some ragga lyrics , and at the end some sick synthesiser melody which he plays in himself. After all these years i cannot seem to find out who alec used to sample this insane raggamuffin vocals. Better still if you really want the whole 9 yards just get ,(Squeeze The Trigger ) Album,If you ask me the deepest and most insane Album of Alec throughout! Big up to the Destroyer-Slaughter dem and Kill everyting.
Salt 'N' Pepa - Hot, Cool & Vicious - 25-Jun-07 10:07 AM
The very first album of Salt N Pepa (1986),where they used the sample of the Amen break, side B track 2 (I Desire). I cannot recall any hip hop (artist) who used the break before this period, which means they must have been the first hip hop artists to use the Amen! I know that only some artists used the Amen break ,3rd Bass,2 Live Crew, some hardcore hip/hop bands and of course in (1988) N.W.A also used it...,which is most famous song after that the Amen got used in the hardcore/jungle scene from 1991 till today! It is too bad not too many hip hop artist made use of the Amen,as the combination with hardcore lyrics and the break is awesome. This album is pretty good of Salt N Pepa, as they introduce themselves to the world, with good songs and fine lyrics in combination of the good beats and snares! So Amen addict and Rap/junglists lovers ,grab this one..if you ever come across it! "Cause I Desire"!
Various - Rave The City V - 22-Jun-07 10:29 AM
.....As far as i Know ,this is the Only (Mix)Cd with the famous hardcore/breakbeat tune called, "Fascination" originally done by "Citrus" but here an exclusive breakbeat remix by dj Weirdo,Disc 1-14. Too bad this remix was never placed on Wax,and there for only avalibale on cd. If you ask my opinion it is even better than the Original version , it contains the famous "Amen" break, which is very loudly pressed, and the rave synths, followed by the female voice crying out "Fascination"! A good classic although not known by many as this remix remains only on Cd,hope someone out there desides to put this on vinly!.......
