D-Bridge & Vegas (2) - True Romance / Bellini - 28-Mar-07 09:28 AM
"True Romance" is a minimal roller that has quite a bit of staying power. The tune starts out rather quietly and the crisp drums begin step up in intensity, but never get extremely heavy. The bassline is the nasty part of this track. Great production work here. Fits into many of sets. "Bellini" is another little futuristic and nasty roller. Pure quality from D-Bridge/Vegas and the Headz.
Jonny L - Sawtooth - 21-Mar-07 08:48 PM
Very sought after album by Jonny L still does not sound all that dated despite being released in 1997. Make no mistake about it... the LP shaped drum & bass and should be mentioned in the same breath Ed Rush and Optical's "Wormhole" as far as its impact on the scene. Wish U Had Something, I Let U and Piper are some of the stronger tunes, but there is no fluff on this album. Deep, dark, intelligent, ground breaking... this 5X10" has it all. A must for all lovers of music... not just D.
Commix - Talk To Frank / Electric - 19-Mar-07 07:20 PM
This new & improved version of "Talk to Frank" has a filthy bassline accompanied by cripser sounding highs. Very nice Commix sounds. The flip, "Electric", is a techy, militaristic stepper that is sure to cripple the dance floor. Very solid release for Metalheadz and the Commix boys.

Nasty tune... The distorted loop prior to the drop gives way to an even nastier bassline. Choohn is one of a kind and instantly recognizable. Great to this very day. Right alongside "The Nine" and "Titan" as a D anthem that will always be heard in clubs and in various mixes. Simply put, it's a definitive classic that nevers seems to lose its edge.
Pendulum (3) & Bulletproof - Hardware Limited 03 - 16-Aug-06 10:25 AM
"Trails of Sevens" is trademark Pendulum sound... choppy beats, nasty bassline and atmospheric-to-techstep transition. Right up there w/ "Another Planet" and "Vault".
