Heinrichs & Hirtenfellner - Bazar Inflagranti - 21-Jul-08 01:30 PM
The A side has a sample of Azaan - an Islamic call for prayer. The sampling and use of the singing are done very well: clear, not overwhelming or annoying. Overall I feel that this is a well produced record and I am sure it gets a substantial amount of air play. However, to use the call for prayer in any other context, especially for entertainment purposes such as here, would be considered blasphemous and insulting by any Muslim.

Mark-Henning - Yeah But No But EP - 23-Dec-05 03:41 AM
This is my first record from Mark and it is a very pleasent surprise. It's house music, yes, but the sounds were lovingly sliced up into miniscule kliks, klaks and jazzy cha-cha's that are masterfully layered and build to a groovy fruition. 1471 is destined for a sexy dancefloor!

Two Lone Swordsmen - From The Double Gone Chapel - 31-Jul-04 09:50 AM
This album presents a very refreshing sound for the electronic dance genre - it maintains the raw, unfiltered loopyness while adding elements of rock and punk through the use of live instruments, solo's and wicked lose-the-drum-machine percussions. A perfect CD for to convert that punk-rock-listening friend of yours!

Luciano - Live @ Weetamix - 08-Oct-03 02:51 PM
Luciano's productions are exquisite, this one is no exception! The whole album is infused with clicks, tastefully irregular hi-hats and snares, breaks and deep grooves. It is also properly mixed, creating a natural progression, yet one can play tracks individually as well. My highlight on this cd is "arzier" and I look forward to playing it out!

Los Tujlios - Los Tuljios Part 2 - 21-May-03 02:56 PM
The slovenian duo put together this superb record. Standard Procedure is a hard-pounding ride filled with syntholoops that is signature Umek. Tuna is my favorite - a disco-grooved driving progression that is perfect for jumping on the bed ;-) Neighborhood is a solid piece of tribal infused energy. And finally Strive for Your Rights is filled with groovy basslines and electroloops. A spectacular record overall!
