Reviews & Discussion:
Another dancefloor demolition from the Errorsmith/Soundhack camp that’s at once brutal, funky and undeniably clever. Tight, chopped, tweaked discoid edits and micro constructions that you really need to hear.
Anthony "Shake" Shakir has been one of Detroit's leading producers for an awfully long time (going back to the Techno: The New Dance Sound of Detroit LP in 1988), but he's been more diverse, incorporating breaks, downtempo tracks, even contributing to Sublime's hip hop compilation 11 Phases. This long 8 track EP on Klang incorporates minimal jazz atmospherics, samples & downtempo loops, quite different to his generally storming releases on the Frictional label. | ||||
