Truant - Song Of A City - 17-Jan-06 12:24 AM
This is the first single to be released from their debut "Neither Work Nor Leisure" long player. The original is a beautiful downtempo moment, with lush strings, computerised sax and innocent keys. Reset get the job of remixing it, and remarkably turn it into a smooth house glider, using matter of fact keys, raw synth and cooling guitar. Oh, and for those who don't like the vocal, they've also gone and done a Reset dub, where strings become incredibly emotive, and a timeless feel is invoked.
A-J-Scent - I Love Digital (Remix) - 17-Nov-05 07:35 AM
Hypnotic floor-rocker from Bristolian producer AJ Scent. Great swirly keyboard hook underpinned by a bumpin' phunkee b-line. The second part of this slammer features a new twisted house edit by Classic's Rob Mello plus a new, unreleased cut in 'Hard Times'.
HH* - ICE EP - 16-Nov-05 09:38 AM
This is a corking EP of beautifully produced deep trance. Both sides consist of an introduction that flows uninterrupted into the main track. The better mix is 'ICE 794' featuring a gorgeous ethnic sounding sample, whilst 'ICE 897' is slightly darker.
Nikola Gala - Blue Impulse / Subterra - 14-Nov-05 08:48 AM
Nikola Gala is the latest progressive prodigy from Greece and his talent is showcased on his debut for Intrinsic. “Blue Impulse” is an excellent, warm and uplifting prog. cut with strong melodies making it perfect for summer. 'Subterra' is a darker effort that builds stunningly to a haunting breakdown before it’s off with the driving drums again.
