Loco Dice & Ricardo Villalobos - In The Mix - Green & Blue - 26-Jun-08 11:38 PM
I am really terribly badly suprised by this mix. It is really bad and not what you would expect from big shots like Villalobos and Loco Dice.

For example, the mix from Do Robots Have Soul? to Wortkabular is simply rude. There is almost no overlay in the music, simply fade out, fade out.
The mix from Wortkabular to Rusty Sticks is even worse, the overlay is only like a few seconds and only on the voice doing the alphabet.
Also there is no consistency in the music. The total sounds more as a compilation then to a mix...

Dont get me wrong, the music is nice. The mix on itself sucks big time though.
My opinion: could have spend my money better then this.

Ricardo Villalobos - For Disco Only 2 - 23-Sep-05 11:24 PM
It is so nice to see that modern minimal classical music is being used by artists like Ricardo Villalobos. Artists as Conlon Nancarrow, Edgard Varèse, Iannis Xenakis, György Ligeti , Karlheinz Stockhausen and so on created the basic for todays dance music long ago. Here a sample of "The Grid" is used from the soundtrack of the unforgetable Koyaanisqatsi which was composed by Philip Glass in 1983 (http://www.discogs.com/release/117370).
