Sam Lowry (2) - Needle Mountain - 10-Mar-09 03:00 AM
From the mind of Sam Lowry aka Manasyt (from Bunker records) comes one of the weirdest Strange Life records releases so far. Needle Mountain is the ultimate molochial psychosis journey into electronic soundtrack ambient or whatever
you want to call it. Think the ambient works of Aphex Twin + Goblin meets Alec Empire, a spoon of Morricone and go on a roundabout after that and we are close to describing this 28 track album.

MANASYt - Skizopolis - 20-Jun-08 08:56 AM
Top gear from Manasyt on this limited 200 copy release. Nice to hear some well put together electro vibes and this comes complete with everything you could possibly need for a spot of robotic, sci-fi fun and games. Rough beats, synthed out bass sounds and a selection of dramatic strings and chords. Really rather pleasing to the ears and there's a good variety of tempos across the 4 tracks. Solid stuff from a great little label.

Sam Lowry (2) - Moesia - 20-Jun-08 08:54 AM
Rip-snorter of a release here from Dumb Terminal. A limited red vinyl slab coming as a run of only 200 copies, it's a 4-track electro-fest of pretty epic proportions. Sam Lowry is, in fact, a pseudonym for Manasyt and he's delivered some really punchy tracks here. Solid bottom end, sci-fi strings and a retro feel that doesn't feel dated. Electro of this calibre is something to be savoured. If you like it like this, I'll warrant you should bag yourself a copy.

MANASYt / Cestrian - MANASYt vs Cestrian EP - 11-Jun-08 06:57 AM
Split ep of dark metallic hard-fun from the Human Shield mixing funnel. Manasyt leaves his manners at home and takes the A side by force with two solid cuts of pure industrial horror: 'Vibro' leaves little to the imagination whilst his Bloc'08 set opener 'Wrist Sewing' speeds up the synth suspense until your loins are sore and your mind is truly spent. Overworked and underpaid English bedroom musician Cestrian (Bunker/Monox) softens the blow just a bit on the reverse with his 'Hearse' giving you the perfect funeral, driving off into the near distance with dead waves and metallic shards of fluctuating hiss. The stately anti-funk of 'Rizzla Teeth' brings us to a conclusion with gun-metal grey sneers of contempt and harrowing neg-vibe downer skree. Suit up and dig in!

Various - Electric Nights Vol. 2 - 08-Apr-08 02:39 AM
This record pays tribute to the dancenights called Elektrik Nacht that were organized in the past by the Augsburg’s inner circle of electronic producers, who are now also mostly associated with the Kommando 6 label. It shows the darker side of elektro/electronic music. Volume 2 is a made up out of tracks by musicians from all over the world.
Both Manasyt and Alex Nôrinh succeeded in creating intense and rather dark sound structures. These tracks could well be used as a score for a dark sci-fi film.
Also the more dancefloor minded people will be pleased with Volume 2. Weltwirtschaft treats the dancefloor with pounding beats and the Polygamy Boys track ‘Tora Bora’ evolves into a beatdriven dark dance tune.
Electric Nights show what the Kommando 6 sound is all about. So, if you like your electronic music dark and varied you will feel at home with these releases and this label.
