Heinrichs & Hirtenfellner - Bazar Inflagranti - 28-Sep-08 09:12 AM
That's not a call to prayer. Its just Arabic. Arabs have more song than just the call to prayer. Cant believe you would post such a comment without being sure. Apparently I have to post more than 75 words in order to respond to a bone head post. Ach well, let me add that its a very nice minimal Techno track. Not perhaps their best, I prefer the stuff on Lordag myself but there you go.

Auch - Remix Tomorrow Goodbye - 10-Apr-04 11:37 AM
Ooh this is a bit nice
Senior Villalobos' track is just sublime. Endless minimal funck with mad cereal mooching slopily around in the back ground. The Sunshine decides (after about 8 minutes or something) that its time to drop a big tune. So he bdoes it. So quiet you can hardly hear it. Walkman Metro you might miss it. Then he does it again. And you dont miss it. This guy is sure about what hes doing. But then next track is a bit silly. Rhythm bullodozers after such class. Still, its about the only foolhardiness on this CD. Farben and Auch doing well. Others too. Glad I have this. Cow on the cover too. What more do you need?

Monolake - Momentum - 19-Jan-04 06:24 AM
Some producers orbit around the techno sphere, others are heading outwards. Autechre are one such outfit, and Monolake another, although they are heading out on different trajectories. This record is superb. Huge and hugely introcate soundscapes, tight ear bouncing rhythms. Absorbing sounds to soundtrack the most inspiring of landscapes. The further they get from the core, the more impressive they sound.

Fumiya Tanaka - 21-Dec-03 07:32 AM
Not quite sure what the above is about but yes, I think Fumiya is a good example of Japan for the world to see. Drives like a loony, takes his footy too seriously and is a thumping good DJ. Six hour Set with the Flu? no problem. Not heard much of his material as I refuse to buy it until he gives it to me, which however, doesnt seem that likely. Just been to his last Chaos Party at the Liquid rooms which was superb (last as that club will soon be closing, mores the pitty. Lets hope the rumours of a new Liquid Room on the way proove true).

Monolake - Gobi. The Desert EP - 11-Oct-03 02:47 AM
You are in the middle of a field. It is dark, but a warm breeze sweeps across your skin. Insects flit about, some of them hefty buggers. In the forground squats a large modern factory, lit by random spots, and red flashing lights. Deep bass thumps from hightech production activities drift over the field to you, along with the sounds of sporadic steam gushes. As time goes on activity from the factory dies down, as does the wind.

well thats what it sounds like to me.
