Tears For Fears - Songs From The Big Chair (Deluxe Edition) - 06-Apr-09 01:27 AM
The track called "Mothers Talk (US Remix)" on this reissue is mislabeled. I don't know where this mix comes from, but there are some very noticeable differences from the US remix that came out on vinyl (additional guitar, vocal and keyboard parts, etc.).

The real US remix of "Mothers Talk" is available on CD on "20th Century Remasters - The Millennium Collection: The Best of Tears for Fears", "Shout: The Very Best of Tears for Fears" and the 1999 remaster of "Songs From the Big Chair".

Portishead - Third - 19-Oct-08 08:41 AM
So far, there is only one bit of additional content that has been made available for owners of the limited-edition box set — "Portishead at the Mayan". It is a 15-minute FLV file containing terrific live performances of "Wandering Star" and "Threads". I've talked to a couple of other people who have the USB stick, and they weren't even aware that there was any bonus content. They thought the P3 application on the USB stick was a regular Flash Player app and didn't even try to run it.

Boards Of Canada - Aquarius - 12-Apr-08 05:10 AM
If you buy these tracks from Skam's MP3 download store, "Aquarius" has a running time of 6:10, and "Chinook" is 7:25. What's on the MP3s are the same versions as what's on the original 7" single. Presumably, the MP3s were made from the master tapes, so their track times are probably more accurate than what's listed here at discogs. (I guess the timings listed here were estimated from playback on a turntable that was running slightly fast.)

Various - Skampler - 12-Apr-08 05:04 AM
At Skam's MP3 download store, it says that track 13.2 is called "Tele", and track 13.3 is called "Stoop". The other track titles are the same as listed here, and so are all the artist credits. Did Skam make a mistake, or does this discogs entry need updating?

(Side note: At bleep, Warp's download store, "Everything You Do Is a Balloon" is sold as an MP3 including these two hidden tracks, leading some to believe it's a rare, longer version of the BoC song.)

Boards Of Canada - Twoism - 11-Apr-08 05:46 AM
"Seeya Later" on this CD seems to be the same mix as the one on the Hi Scores CD, but the channels are reversed. (The sound quality of the version on Hi Scores is also slightly better -- more dynamic range.) I'm curious: at what point did this channel reversal happen? Was it the same for the original vinyl editions of these two EPs, or did it happen only when Twoism was released on CD? Does anyone know? And are there any other differences I'm not noticing?
