You have to love a label which presses records as thick as dinner plates!!! Oh yea, and they have also released some of the hottest jazz, funk, soul, house tunes in existence. Keep up the good work!
The mixing on this cd is nothing short of incredible. Unless you know the songs from this album, you will have a hard time telling where one song ends and the next begins. The actual track selection creates a very unique sounding cd... one of a kind! The opening 2 songs "Believe" and "Soothe" are both emotional and melodic, it is unbelievable how well they sound together. Soothe is actually 2 different versions of the same song mixed together... one of the most beautiful songs I know. The cd then progresses towards more funky beats with a very electronic sound over it, and finally slows down to the song "Dammerung", which has a melody you will sure hum to yourself after you hear it. This song acts as a pivot to launch what I consider the climax of the album which are the banging beats of "Blue" and "Little Bullet" This mix is streched for well over 2 minutes where they sound like they are both part of the same song. The beats of "Blue" are just amazing, just try and sit still during these 2 songs! The cd then switches gears, slows down a bit towards some more breakbeats, and builds up towards the mind blowing "Purple". Finally a perfect ending to a perfect cd, "Symphony" is the only song which could possibly close out this excellent cd. If you have this cd, I hope you found my review to be accurate; if you dont have it, I highly recommend it no matter what style of dance music you like. Dont miss out on this amazing piece of music history!
