Rob Williams* - Tempest Volume One: There You Are - 25-Aug-03 10:07 AM
What an ugly record.
One side is a stupid stomper with a headless modulating acid-hook, wich sounds rather randomly generated or coming into life by a sequencer fallen from the table...
On the other side its the same: without intention, idea, feeling, purpose, AND without a beat.

Isaac Spayes - Caleidoskank 1.2 - 05-Mar-03 07:11 AM
This one has space! Superb dubby-tech with deep booming bass. Great minimal stuff - making me feel completely surrounded by the music. Just let yourself float into it!

Nefuka* - Adad - 05-Mar-03 06:58 AM
In my opinion akufens best record. Experimental, but funky and groovy. Boy, he mustve played a lot with radio-tuning! One question: why is this release not added as "Akufen - Dada", so that everybody can find it over his artist-page?

DJ Kliprock & Rob Devz - The Pump - 17-Jan-03 08:43 AM
The titletrack is literally PUMPING! Give it to a willingly crowd and anybody will just dance into madness. Awesome pumping techno despite - or rather because of its straightness. What a bass! Lucky they were to find that vocal-sample.
Unfortunately the B-side wont fulfill any requirements.
Would that be a one-sider, I rated it with 5 points!

Paul Lewis - Girl You Need A Change Of Mind - 14-Jan-03 06:09 AM
Wonderful DiscoFunk with the great soulful voice of Paul Lewis. Not to mention the original, but even the I.B.s re-works are changing their tempi throughout the songs. TRICKY!
