Egg, The - Venice Beach

"Lost At Sea". WOW! I think this is one of the very very best productions by The Egg. Stunning, emotive, most beautiful in every angle and never misses a fraction of a second of aural pleasure. Indeed, this is easily one of my all-time favorites. If you love downtempo/ambient tunes, then you definitely can't afford to miss this absolute "timeless" gem. Words simply cannot described how powerful this tune is. You'd be engrossed by it from the start to the finish. To be honest, I'd give more credit than deserved; +6/+5 for this track alone does seriously do justice.

Super cool breakbeat treatment by Anders Trentemøller. Atmospheric and emotive in some respects, this remix is somewhat a deviation from his earlier deep house affair, but nonetheless should catch attention from breakbeat/nu breaks/progressive breaks fans, artists and DJs alike. This is the only track in the CD that gets the most credit from me. Impressive!
Norman Feller - Frameless Structure

This is one of the very best downtempo albums I have ever heard. Very carefully/intelligently produced, perfect for capturing your greatest chillout moments. This album is somewhat similar to his "Nor Elle - Slapstick [Mole]" style and a bit reminiscent of his earlier great works, only better considering the proper treatment of layered beats and healthy dose of sonic soundscapes. I normally don't give many 5/5 ratings, but this case is strictly an exception. Downtempo/chillout/ambient freaks certainly won't be disappointed. Hey, this should also catch the attention of some progressive or other dance DJs/artists/fans. Some tunes are really mind blowing. I was melting when I heard the first and the last two tunes. Check it out! :) | ||||
