Goldfrapp - Supernature - 13-Sep-05 12:45 AM
It's Clear That: - Allison and Will are excellent musicians... and they can even play the cheapest tune with such a class that millions of musicians they'd like to - "Felt Mountain" reamain their Absolute Masterpiece to me - This album is much more commercial than Black Cherry and it's "Made for sell"
In spite, it still has some few brilliant episodes likes: "You Never Know" "Let It Take You" "Slide In" (Sound like Kraftwerk meet Barbie)
Hoping in a next non-commercial countercurrent turning point.... I still believe 'em! As i always say: "Art it's priceless.. But artists too, they need to eat!"
Ooh La La !!!
Dorit Chrysler - Best Of Dorit Chrysler - 12-Sep-05 03:22 AM
Dorit Chrysler, with the sound of her Theremin, her smooth and sweet voice leads you in world of magic, spellbound, and fairy tales with echoes like the early Nico, Anne Pigalle or sometimes like the great Marlene Dietrich. Some tracks like Tundra or On the Meadow, are gems of delicacy and supernatural. Definitely a modern delightful Chanteuse! Join a dream!
Röyksopp - The Understanding - 11-Sep-05 06:22 AM
What a deception!!! This album sounds like a Pet Shop Boys album from 15 years ago. Probably the 2 kids discovered them, lost personality and all the good intuitions they offer us in the first very eclectic album. Good to listen to your hairdresser or on the millions of commercial radios that will definetly play this cheap cheasy stuff! Even with the best equipment of the world this music would sound sterile to me. It will be perfect for all the Yuppy-Wasp boring parties around! XXI Century surely needs less pre-cooked stuff than this!
David Bowie - Lodger - 04-Feb-05 10:11 AM
There's to wonder why, one of the most avantagarde, experimental, ethnycal anticipator, Bowie's '79 records, is one of the less known, and appreciate from people.
The compositions and the music are still brilliantly up to date, 26 years later.
Episodes as the turkish-reggae influenced Yassassin, the afro-hypnotic-electronic African Night Flight, the Iggy Pop's style Red Money, they still shine as little experimental pearls.
The Fantastic Voyage continues... let's Move On
