2 Damn Tuff - Ruff Muff / Techno City - 03-May-08 04:36 AM
This song sounds nothing like a crow and is actually the stompy happy hardcore version of Diss Reaction's JIIEHAA.

It is actually not too bad considering there isn't a lot you can do for a remix of JIEHAA and yes there is cheesy MC'ing over it but still playable though. Techno city isnt that bad actually and the lyrics are pretty haunting and should have been used in a better way but they are still there to be used.

Bass Generator - The Event - 19-Dec-07 10:21 AM
As you can see there are copies out there with the centre labels round the wrong way. just to clarify.

A The Event (Can I Have A Lime In My Shandy Andy? Mix) is the 'big beat at the start mix'.

B The Event (Who Gives A Fuck About Stupid Mix Names Anyway? Mix) is the 'breakdown mix'

This is just so you know what version is what. There are probably people out there who have thought for years that they were playing a certain mix when they were actually playing the other one.

Brooklyn Bounce - Loud & Proud - 21-Nov-07 03:45 AM
When I first listened to this I was totally intrigued, here i am playing hard trance that seemed to be going nowhere creatively and then BAM this comes out and punches me in the face.

This record is where the hardcore scene should have went, not into mad gabba that burns your ears off after 30 minutes. The tune is brilliant, it has a massive beat and samples one of the best tunes ever.

It starts off with the beat, then a female starts singing 'feel the music loud and proud' it then takes of with a remix of the Prodigies 'everybody into the place'. How can you not have this in your collection?

MC R.A.W. - We Who Are Oppressed - 21-Nov-07 03:38 AM
An alltime classic, every DJ had this in their collection and I cant see a reason why not.

Classic tune containing the lyrics "fight those against oppression and thee oppressors. (sounds like Martin Luther King) before kicking off into a great tune. The well known mix is the Rob Gee one where there are guitar riffs all over it MAD. Totally cained by Bassy G, Technotrance, Lenny Dee, Rob Gee, you name it they played it.

Ultra-Sonic - Arpeggio - 21-Nov-07 03:31 AM
From the hardcore era this is one of the most wellknown, played, listened to records of all time. It is still fresh today because of the fact that it 'sounds' live.

This has been thrashed from every well known DJ and I think became the Scotland national anthem between 1993-1999. It is brilliantly produced and and well thought out with all genres of the time contained within.

It has hardcore, jungle, drum n bass, techno, italipiano. The list goes on. And of course Mallorca Lee MCing over the top of it.
