Marsen Jules - Herbstlaub - 21-Jul-08 04:31 PM
Ethereal, dreamy, beautiful, voluptuous... I cant find enough words to express my love for Herbstlaub. The blossom that is Herbstlaub will take your mind up to heaven during 39 minutes of classical beauty. Every note played by the string instruments provides enough magic to charm even the darkest souls. Since I have the chance to speak french, I can understand how poetic the tracks are titled. Here is the translations :

1- Haulm of Fall
2- From a Swan’s Death
3- Dawn
4- Eagle’s Wing
5- Every Heart on Earth
6- Song of the Evening

Thank you, Marsen Jules, for writing such delicate music.

M83 - Dead Cities, Red Seas & Lost Ghosts - 15-Oct-07 06:16 PM
Never noise could sound as melodic as on this album. Dead Cities, Red Seas & Lost Ghosts is structured really simply, although it keeps some beauty, the instrumental shoegazer pieces will emotionally hit you. The sophomore release will attract both noisy and beautiful listeners, a must have in the genre! We could almost compare M83 with My Bloody Valentine for their striking basslines that trap you on cloud nine. If I had to resume the greatness of Dead Cities, Red Seas & Lost Ghosts, I would answer "Simply listen the tracks Noise, Cyborg and Gone", and dont be impressed if youre amazed.

Gareth Clarke - The Gareth Clarke LP - 30-Sep-07 09:49 AM
Wow... What an impressive debut album! This mini-album matches Breakcore and IDM so perfectly, Im nearly thinking this has come from another planet. "The Gareth Clarke LP" is easily one of the best releases that Sublight Records have ever put on. Some of the tracks are pure insane breakcore while the other ones are melodic IDM tracks, both are greatly completing the whole thing. If you enjoy Breakcore and IDM, immediately listen Gareth Clarkes album, this is pure genius.

Amon Tobin - Permutation - 03-Sep-07 09:15 PM
"Permutation" brings Amon Tobin again into the jazz/electronic music scene with his unique sound that includes jazz, classical and jungle. This sophomore album keeps impressing the Ninja Tune fanbase, like his debut "Bricolage" did. Expect some dark and relaxing atmosphere while listening this experimental masterpiece. The release reminds of the 50s-60s with its breath taking samples that Mr. Tobin intelligently used. I almost feel like Im as old as my grandparents.

Kristuit Salu vs. Morris Nightingale - My Mines I - 03-Aug-07 09:18 PM
Kristuit Salu and Morris Nightingale: both of Jimmy Edgars alter egos, fight against each other in this wonderful debut album on Merck. Kristuit Salu is in the Glitch Ambient side while Morris Nightingale seems to have adopted a more Glitch-Hop style. As of Machine Drum, another great artist on the same label, Jimmy Edgar follows the beat with some revolutionary IDM influenced Hip-Hop. Each beautifully mixed "half" of the release is a great experience to listen and be sure that "My Mines I" really changed something in its experimental sub-genre. The fact that Edgar released this album when he was 18 years old really proves how genius he is and he deserves to have released music on Warp Records later amongst these innovative artists.
